BMW’s efforts to make the X5 M fast must have been tremendous, but they’ve paid off as it really is one crazy fast vehicle, especially considering its class.
Physics, limitations, technicalities all go into the wind once you floor the loud pedal. Speaking of the wind, air’s the only factor that seems to occasionally slow down the BMW X5 M.
This is where the guys over at Vorsteiner Tuning step in and show off their extensively tested new aero kit for the X5 M.
Since the American tuner is offering a functional actual aero kit and not some sort of bulbous wide body setup that actually creates more drag than the stock car.
The functionality means that any rough edge or airflow malfunction you may have seen on the body of the BMW X5 M has now been dealt with.
Vorsteiner did change the front bumper, use different intake vents, change the side skirts and rear bumper but they also did some significant detail work as well.
Details of the aero body kit start at big stuff like a new diffuser, a new (but small) rear spoiler and they’ve even re-designed the hood vents.
Under the redesigned bonnet of the Vorsteiner X5 M you’ll find the same 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbo powerplant with 555 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque. That’s now, but you never know what the future may hold.
Oh, did I mention the entire Vorsteiner Tuning BMW X5 M Aero Kit is made out of autoclave pre-preg carbon fiber?
