When thinking of customization, we almost always think of the faster, lighter, more aggressive or better trimmed cars tuners can make.
That’s great and covers a wide array of customers. It does however single out the people that are interested in stuff like we’ve got here.
This is the Armortech BMW 760 XLi High Security and it’s not just a stretched version of the most impressive version of the 7 Series.
The stretch is important though. If you’re at a point where the long wheelbase of the longest car BMW make isn’t enough, you might be a little demanding.
It may look unpleasant from the side since there’s an extra side window to consider but you can now take full advantage of the comfy back armchairs.
Believe it or not there’s something actually more important than the vast amount of space offered by the stretched.
The Armortech BMW 760 XLi is among the most cosseting vehicle one can buy. Apart from the original incredible build quality and sound insulation it’s now been armored.
Some two tons of protection were added, thus bringing the total weight of the BMW 760 XLi up to 4.2 tons. There’s more to do, but at least you know bullets can’t hit you while you’re in it.
According to Armortech, they didn’t go all out with the protection adding because there’s still a need of acceptable performance.
Thus, the 6.0 liter twin-turbo V12 can still take the BMW 760 XLi High security version to a top speed of 130 mph.
