There is a certain rumor going around the internet regarding one of the tuners that deals in Bimmers.
As a certain source indicated, the tuner Alpina might be gearing up for the Frankfurt Motor Show next month with a brand new D3.

If you remember the last generation Alpina D3, then you know it was based on BMW’s 1 Series, more specifically, the 123d variant, sporting BMW’s four cylinder diesel engine. If we are to believe the source, this next D3 will be based on a 3 Series diesel, the European 335d.
After Alpina is done with the engine, the output is expected to hit the 350 Hp mark, power delivered by a 3.0 liter twin turbo engine. That should make for an acceleration time to 100 km/h just under 4 seconds. As a side-note, the Alpina D3 will also be available not only in the traditional rear wheel drive, but also all wheel drive variant.
