When it comes to tuning, I have always and probably always will separate owners into two classes: those that want to impress, and those that want to achieve warp speed.
And while on the aesthetic side, you can easily go too far, when it comes to performance, too far is a giant ball of fire going down the track at ludicrous speeds; anything below that is acceptable.
Those lucky BMWs that are chose for the track usually have a hard life, and they are in continuous evolution. There is always something new that can add half a horsepower that you just must have. The E46 BMW M3 is one such car that the owners deemed worthy of a sportier destiny.
The owner couldn’t have chosen better, as this particular model is well suited to take on the track life. Over its life, the E46 BMW M3 saw several improvements, the latest and probably most important, coming a the hands of tuning specialists EAS (European Auto Source). They installed the ESS VT-550 Supercharger for that extra oomph and a rear wing to keep the car down. That extra oomph I mentioned hits the 493 Hp mark, up from 289 Hp, making for a huge improvement.
