The latest BMW X5 to receive the visit of a top tuning company is no other than the gorgeous black stallion seen in the media gallery below, the SUV looking amazing with the Lumma aero kit. The installation was put together by the aftermarket specialists from TopCar.

As we can depict from the photos, the BMW X5 by TopCar is looking sharp and aggressive with the Lumma CLR RS aero kit, consisting of bespoke front bumper with wide spoiler and air intakes, LED daytime running lights, updated side skirts with front and rear fender extensions, rear bumper with integrated diffuser, tailpipes, as well as the new tailgate spoiler.

Still at the rear, this customized BMW X5 is also featuring a new sport exhaust system with four oval tailpipes, adding a valve system for the new power kit fitted under the hood. Unfortunately, the tuning project is still under works, with engineers to deliver more info on the car`s new power later on.

With a huge smile on my face, I squeezed my wife’s hand, asking her: ”can you imagine the power at full throttle?”. She answered: ”you asked the same thing two months ago, when you watched an X5 at Amelia Island!”.

Instantly, I understood she was right. Because, without even knowing it, I think I have a crush on the X5’s first generation. Especially when it comes to its big, V8 engine. But this is different. This is BIG. This gave me 50% more reasons to like it!

This is the mighty, the monster, the Schwarzennegger of the engines. This is the Le Mans winner, which was transplanted from the 1999 BMW V12 LMR. This is the 5990 cc, V12, naturally aspirated S70/3 engine. It develops 700 hp, helping the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds. Surely, it could accelerate on and on, but the BMW specialists decided to cut the gas at 310 km/h, for safety reasons.

To show its tremendous performance, BMW asked Hans Stuck to take it to a ride on Nordschleife. A fast ride, of course. A the end of this insane race, Stuck not only succeeded to cover the lap in under 8 minutes, but did it in 7m:50s, which, let’s say it kindly, it’s @%#$%^!

Surely, there are no rear seats, but who do you think it’s tough enough to sit there without throwing up? Their place has been taken by the racing harness and the fire extinguisher, and that’s probably the reason that I didn’t bought it: no isofix system for my little daughter’s child seat.

Manhart has thus partnered G-Power to provide this gorgeous BMW X5 with a nice matte-grey body wrap, along with the custom Concave One set of wheels, sized 22×10.5 with 295/30/22 and 22×11.5 with 335/25/22 front and rears.

The wheels as well as the entire body are also complemented by the new H&R lowering springs, which provide the model with a greater stance and more aggressive look.

The mods carry on under the hood, the BMW X5 receiving the MHX power kit. As the name suggests, the 4.4-liter turbo, which in the stock version develops 570 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, is now outputting 700 horsepower and 861 Nm of torque.

All the power is achievable thanks to some interesting performance goodies being fitted under the hood, like the MHtronik Control Unit, modified exhaust system with catless downpipes, along with the 300 cell HJS Sport catalysts with the 100mm tailpipes. In case you want more power, then the tuner can also add another engine software which increases the power to 800 horsepower.

The car is fitted with a full carbon fiber kit that fits the BMW X5 snug like a glove. The huge list of visual upgrades starts with a front splitter and ends with an all round body kit including a gorgeous set of mirror covers and sleek aero rear wing.

What really made this car special was the 3 turbocharger configuration that is quite rare on any car.

But just because it is a rarity to see a car with 3 turbos, it doesn’t mean it still can’t be upgraded. This is exactly what AC Schnitzer set out to do, and the result is quite awesome. Performance wise, the kit from AC Schnitzer manages to offer an upgrade to 430 Hp and 840 Nm of torque.

The 49 Hp and 100 Nm extra would normally be enough to satisfy most customers, but just to make sure of it, AC Schnitzer also added some new body panels both for improved aerodynamics and better looks. The finishing touches on the kit are represented by a new set of Type VII wheels.

But just because they don’t have such a strong portfolio when it comes to modifying Bimmers, it doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re doing.

In fact, there is one E70 BMW X5 build from Fostla that aims to prove just that. From a performance point of view, things are the most interesting, as the tuner managed to up the power to 650 Hp and 900 Nm of torque. This was done using a PP-Performance stage 2 kit and a new exhaust system from Akrapovic.

On the outside, things are also looking rather well. Fostla opted for a Frozen red paint job, greatly complemented by the smoked head and rear lights. New 21 inch wheels were also installed, but instead of outsourcing, Fostla just chose some for BMW, and I can’t say they were wrong to do so.
