Of all the names I have listed, only Dinan is US based, and as such, he is quite a big thing in the states. But where did it all begin? Like most successful companies, it has to have started with a strong passion. Steve Dinan, founder and boss of Dinan Engineering, shared with us a bit of the story.

Dinan, as an enthusiast, came a long way from working in various shops. Back in 1979, he thought he knows enough to try and make it on him own, an so Dinan Engineering was born, a company with the sole purpose of taking BMW products to the next level. Did they manage that? Only BMW owners that tried their kits can attest to that. What we know is that they are now planning an upgrade for the F10 BMW M5, which will take the car up to 670 Hp and 813 Nm of torque.

Of the tuners that work closely on BMWs, Dinan is one of the big players right now. Yet its humble beginnings were in Steve Dinan’s garage, where he meddled with vehicles he loved. Now the whole Dinan Engineering is a huge enterprise, encompassing top notch workers and high end tech.

With them being successful in Motorsports, too, Dinan has a big future ahead, and it will continue to bring high quality products for BMW owners for years to come.
