Spotted in the city of Diksmuide in Belgium by Autogespot.com, this BMW B5 Touring is a good example of Alpina’s work.

Draped in red paint and sporting the cosmetic touches of the German tuner company, the BMW B5 is based on the E60 BMW 550i. Alpina tinkered a bit with the N62 4.4 liter V8 engine, squeezing more horses out of it. The BMW B5 Touring develops 500 Hp and 700 Nm of torque, up from 367 Hp and 490 Nm. That is an impressive increase, once again proving that the guys from Alpina know what they’re doing.

The cosmetic changes are pleasant to the eye, and considering that this version is pushing 7 years now, we have to congratulate the owner on keeping this particular unit in top shape. It shows he knows the value of the BMW B5 Touring.

It’s not that often that you see a BMW reworked by Alpina, so every time you get the chance, take a minute and soak the view in, even if it’s an older project like this one.
