<p>ATT-TEC simply took on the 1 Series M Coupe and improved the bits that customers weren&#8217;t too happy about or areas where they wanted something extra.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1665" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1665" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1.jpg" alt="ATT-TEC BMW 1 Series M Coupe" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-1665" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1665" class="wp-caption-text">ATT-TEC BMW 1 Series M Coupe</figcaption></figure>
<p>The power was obviously at the top of the second list. The twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter straight six cylinder engine now has two stages of tune.<br />
<span id="more-1664"></span><br />
First, there&#8217;s a simple ECU upgrade which spools the engine up to 400 horsepower. The second package is a little more advanced but it does take the grunt up to 460 horses so it&#8217;s easy to justify.</p>
<p>The second package does include a larger intercooler, the fitting of a custom Akrapovic exhaust system and an even more aggressive remap of the ECU.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1666" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1666" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe.jpg" alt="ATT-TEC BMW 1 Series M Coupe" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-1666" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe.jpg 1280w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-1024x682.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1666" class="wp-caption-text">ATT-TEC BMW 1 Series M Coupe</figcaption></figure>
<p>In terms of suspension, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe does excellent on a track and almost reasonable on a road. In hoping to make things better on both levels, ATT-TEC chose to fit a new setup altogether.</p>
<p>Obviously, the best aftermarket option so far is the <a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/2012/09/kw-introduces-adjustable-suspension-for-e9x-bmw-3-series/">KW adjustable coilover package</a> which serves up more favorable ride options.</p>
<p>Out at the end of the day, ATT-TEC rounds up the entire package with a new set of 20 inch ADV1 5.0 TF wheels and some Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1667" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1667" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-2.jpg" alt="ATT-TEC BMW 1 Series M Coupe" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-1667" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-2.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/ATT-TEC-BMW-1-Series-M-Coupe-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1667" class="wp-caption-text">ATT-TEC BMW 1 Series M Coupe</figcaption></figure>
<p>You can nitpick, but it&#8217;s hard to find people who&#8217;ll believe the flaws you&#8217;ve found even with this sort of package.</p>
