You know the old story, the F12/F13 BMW 6 Series just isn’t enough for you. You can’t wait for the M6 and the Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo isn’t to your liking, what is there to do?

Perhaps give the Germans at Tuningwerk a ring so they can supply you with one of their NR6M units. Still a worked over BMW 6 Series, but there’s a different flavor.

Tuningwerk NR6M BMW 6 Series

It’s not an over the top childishly drawn body kit that Tuningwerk is offering but it’s certainly less grown up than Alpina’s proposal.

In fact, apart from the vent in the side skirts I reckon Tuningwerk have got the looks spot on with the NR6M. You get a revised front bumper and a nice diffuser at the back.

The NR6M also brings the BMW 6 Series a new set of alloy wheels that mix a sporty design with an elegant presence. Which perfect given how they’ve been fitted to a 6 series.

Tuningwerk NR6M BMW 6 Series

Under the bonnet, the 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine receives a bit of a makeover. It’s such a bit of a makeover that the output has grown to 708 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque.

Thanks to that boost and new tires, acceleration from 0 to 62 takes a mere 3.4 seconds and the top speed figure is slightly higher than the standard 155 mph. It’s now 217 mph.

All of this amazing performance is available in a convertible. That should be quite the hairy ride. In order to make sure you’re prepared for it, Tuningwerk offer a special handover with training program as an option.

Tuningwerk NR6M BMW 6 Series

You could do that, or simply rely on the carbon ceramic brakes to get you out of some major trouble.
