<p>There may be a bit of an extra bit of joy about the way the F10 BMW M5 looks when you walk up to it but we all know that once you press that start button you don&#8217;t really care about it anymore.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1057" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1057" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-1.jpg" alt="3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5" width="520" height="390" class="size-full wp-image-1057" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-1.jpg 816w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-1-320x240.jpg 320w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1057" class="wp-caption-text">3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5</figcaption></figure>
<p>This specific unit of the 3D Design tweaked BMW M5 is special because it gets a new Akrapovic exhaust system which makes up for the difference.<br />
<span id="more-1055"></span><br />
With the new setup there&#8217;s a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system which comes to some special carbon fiber tips at the end.</p>
<p>The owner made these choices with quite some smart thinking but he didn&#8217;t stop there. While he still had his tin foil cup on he had a few special ideas.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1058" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1058" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-2.jpg" alt="3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5" width="520" height="390" class="size-full wp-image-1058" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-2.jpg 816w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-2-320x240.jpg 320w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1058" class="wp-caption-text">3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5</figcaption></figure>
<p>He replaced the standard suspension setup with some new H&amp;R Springs, got some spacer action to keep the wheels neatly tucked in and lowered the car.</p>
<p>The radiator grille got itself a bit of a makeover but that&#8217;s not all. It seems that he&#8217;s got quite the plan ready for the car&#8217;s future.</p>
<p>That list includes a custom M intake, a reprogrammed ECU, some custom piping for the turbos and a brand new set of alloy wheels.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1059" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1059" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3.jpg" alt="3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5" width="520" height="390" class="size-full wp-image-1059" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3.jpg 1400w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/3D-Design-Akrapovic-BMW-M5-3-320x240.jpg 320w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1059" class="wp-caption-text">3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5</figcaption></figure>
<p>Oh and take a second look at that license plate number before you start praising the tasteful sort of tuning that&#8217;s going on here.</p>

<p>In the meantime, we might as well grab a second look at the E63/64 version of the M6 that fell into the hands of Prior Design tuning.</p>
<figure id="attachment_504" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-504" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-3.jpg" alt="Prior Design BMW M6" width="520" height="238" class="size-full wp-image-504" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-3.jpg 864w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-3-300x138.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-3-768x352.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-504" class="wp-caption-text">Prior Design BMW M6</figcaption></figure>
<p>We&#8217;re talking a standard set of underpinnings with a look that now properly shows off what those hidden details can do.<br />
<span id="more-503"></span><br />
There&#8217;s a 5.0 liter V10 engine under the bonnet and not only can it rev to 8250 rpm it will also produce 507 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque while its at it.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s an impressive setup and even though the BMW M6 is quite the weighty vehicle, it can shift incredibly fast. </p>
<figure id="attachment_505" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-505" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-2.jpg" alt="Prior Design BMW M6" width="520" height="238" class="size-full wp-image-505" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-2.jpg 864w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-2-300x138.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-2-768x352.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-505" class="wp-caption-text">Prior Design BMW M6</figcaption></figure>
<p>Going from 0 to 62 takes just 4.4 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph.</p>
<p>Prior Design didn&#8217;t think there&#8217;s any need to mess around with that but boy did they update everything about the look of it.</p>
<p>A full wide body kit was made out of Dura-Flex Epoxy Fiber Reinforced Plastic, repainted and teamed with quad exhaust tips and new multi-spoke 21 inch alloy wheels.</p>
<figure id="attachment_506" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-506" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-1.jpg" alt="Prior Design BMW M6" width="520" height="238" class="size-full wp-image-506" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-1.jpg 864w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-1-300x138.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Prior-Design-BMW-M6-1-768x352.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-506" class="wp-caption-text">Prior Design BMW M6</figcaption></figure>
<p>According to the tuner even though they&#8217;ve focused on the design aspect, the high speed stability and handling have not been affected by these updates.</p>
<p>No idea on just how much this sort of setup would cost and if Prior Design is still making it or not but we do know that their contact page is always open.</p>

<p>Further more, the Alpina B3 S BiTurbo is also available as a sedan or a family estate for those who actually have a few practicality concerns.<br />
<span id="more-461"></span><br />
Alpina sticks to their tradition and they&#8217;ve fitted the exterior with a dignified looking body and new alloy wheels.</p>
<p>These are sometimes referred to as outdated. The Alpina look is actually more of a BMW look than fans of the Bavarian brand would like to admit.</p>
<figure id="attachment_464" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-464" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2.jpg" alt="Alpina B3S BiTurbo" width="520" height="390" class="size-full wp-image-464" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2.jpg 1280w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Alpina-B3S-BiTurbo-2-320x240.jpg 320w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-464" class="wp-caption-text">Alpina B3S BiTurbo</figcaption></figure>
<p>Over the years, BMW went off to make quite a few risky choices with styling whereas Alpina have stuck to soft lines and a dignified imposing presence.</p>
<p>It all sounds almost poetic, and then you raise the bonnet to quite the surprise. The B3 S BiTurbo BMW 3 Series is powered by BMW&#8217;s 3.0 liter turbocharged straight six cylinder engine.</p>
<p>Once Alpina have done some tuning to it, the final output figures come in at 400 horsepower and 397 lbs-ft of torque.</p>
