The M Performance Power Kit for this model will be discontinued, so if you were in the market for one, tough luck.

The silver lining is that this is just a temporary problem. Right now, BMW’s N55 engine is undergoing some upgrading, but once that is done with, the German car maker will be bringing back the M Performance Power Kit.

We should expect the MPPK to arrive somewhere later this year, so the wait isn’t really that long. Hopes are high that while the engine is undergoing the update, so will the Power Kit, and its comeback will bring ever more power under the 335i’s hood.

There is also a certain degree of curiosity about what the engine will see updated, and how will this affect performance. Everybody is expecting increases in power for both the N55 and the MPPK, but for confirmation we will have to wait for a bit longer.
