Mansory’s tuning kits aren’t really the most discrete or difficult to cross by without giving it a slightly shocked look.

However not even they could have had a BMW 7 Series on their hands and mistreated it in their usual fashion.

Mansory BMW 7 Series

Words like subtle and discrete may be a little to ambitious, but it’s not so bad that you couldn’t use words like “not hideous”.

That may have been a little mean. Or not, I really think it’s a deserved description for the large luxury barge that is the F01.

On the brighter side, the Mansory BMW 7 Series still looks mostly like an actual 7 Series, so not all has been lost with this particular model.

Mansory BMW 7 Series

The Swedish tuner only focuses on the big time models such as the 750i and 760i. Even so, there’s a couple of upgrades going on in the engine department.

Should your heart desire for the V8 you’ll be getting 490 instead of 400 horsepower.

If the V12 flavor is what’s captivating your soul, the news is even better, 544 hp is turned into 640. All that added power will make the Mansory BMW 760i capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 in just 4.2 seconds.

Not bad really, especially when you consider the new set of 22″ wheels they fit isn’t aimed at performance but looks.

Mansory BMW 7 Series

Those who appreciate the interior of such an image machine more than the exterior or performance will be glad to know Mansory opted for the best materials to garnish it with.

There’s stuff like burl wood, leather or ultra-suede. Carbon fiber is the only stuff that doesn’t really fit in.

BMW’s recent foray into the M Performance sub-brand announced how the company is planning to add a bit of extra speed to pretty much all of its products.

While most of the BMW range will easily take a lot more power than they come with as standard, most eyes are pinned on a single product.

Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo

Pretty much everybody is interested in what they’re calling the BMW M7. An M division 7 Series will never happen, but an M Performance one might.

It’s barely under consideration. By the time BMW figure things out, our best call is the Alpina prepped B7 Bi-Turbo model.

The famous German tuner tricked out the 4.4 liter V8 engine in the BMW 750i by quite the amount. Starting with 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque the Alpina B7 gets 500 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo

Four wheel drive is “needed” in order to elegantly handle that sort of performance so it’s no surprise to see xDrive being mentioned.

Essentially, the same gearbox and the same drive shafts are used as the standard car. New Alpina-like multi-spoke alloy wheels and fresh tires do go on though.

Alpina then moves on to trick out the exterior with a new, smooth flowing body kit and make a few changes to the interior as well.

With all the added performance and refinement, there’s still no getting away that we’re dealing with a very heavy car.

Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo

The BMW limo tips the scales at 4.861 lbs (2.2 tons). Despite this, the Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo comes with the well known BMW handling.

The 51.4 to 48.6 weight distribution may have something to do with that though.
