The exterior thus does not show much change being kept as original as possible with just upgraded LED headlights, redesigned kidney grilles and a brand new hood that fits quite perfectly with the “classy as possible” design.

The B6 xDrive Gran Coupe retains its old aero kit and 20” alloy rims beautifully wrapped in high performance low profile tires, slightly wider in the back compared to the front. Other upgrades include trims and badging, none of which would matter were it not for the biggest of these upgrades; the engine.

The engine of the B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is a 4.4L double turbo V8 engine brought from a mere 540hp to an outstanding 600hp. This exceeds the previous limit set at 560hp set by the M6 Gran Coupe making it faster by 0.5 seconds compared to the M6.

The new B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is set to make its grand debut in March 2015 with orders being set over the ocean in late May, early June.

Hamman is sure to bring its best game to Frankfurt, as they announced they will be presenting a Mirror 6 Series Gran Coupe. Of course, no pictures or details were presented, so this little tease, while rife with possibilities, is just mean of Hamann.

Still, if we are to judge from the Mirror F12 BMW M6 Coupe, we can get an idea on what we should expect. A nice and mean looking aero body kit is a must. As it bear the Mirror name,the 6 Series Gran Coupe will most likely wear a chrome wrap foil.

And while this all sounds good, the engine will also be reworked and even the chassis will suffer some altering. We’ll see exactly how much starting September, 10th.

The spy photos were snapped during a test run of the dubbed Alpina B6 model.

In a true traditional Alpina manner, the prototype was mounted atop some multi-spoke wheels. Camouflage can be seen on the front and rear spoilers, so we should expect them to get an update, too.

Of course, Alpina will not limit themselves at these minor visual tweaks, so most likely we will see on the B6 a new set of suspensions and brakes. Rumors also place a 100 Hp power increase beneath the hood. Considering that a standard 650i model will do 450 Hp and 650 Nm of torque, after Alpina is done, the total of 550 Hp will rival the numbers of the BMW M6.
