Recently Alpina has released an updated version of its Gran Coupe based on the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe. It may look as a somewhat simple facelift but it is no such thing. The guys at Alpina have been working continuously on improving the Gran Coupe rather than just filling it with new functions.
The exterior thus does not show much change being kept as original as possible with just upgraded LED headlights, redesigned kidney grilles and a brand new hood that fits quite perfectly with the “classy as possible” design.

The B6 xDrive Gran Coupe retains its old aero kit and 20” alloy rims beautifully wrapped in high performance low profile tires, slightly wider in the back compared to the front. Other upgrades include trims and badging, none of which would matter were it not for the biggest of these upgrades; the engine.

The engine of the B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is a 4.4L double turbo V8 engine brought from a mere 540hp to an outstanding 600hp. This exceeds the previous limit set at 560hp set by the M6 Gran Coupe making it faster by 0.5 seconds compared to the M6.

The new B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is set to make its grand debut in March 2015 with orders being set over the ocean in late May, early June.
