In fact, if we are to believe these guys, this particular Bimmer just might be the fastest rear wheel drive sedan in the world. Somehow, I am inclined to believe them, although I wouldn’t be completely shocked if an even more powerful variant would be built (if it hasn’t already).

All in all, this isn’t that much of competition, as apart from decibels, you can’t really establish any rules, and more noise doesn’t always mean better.

Also most of the times, these battles take place with the vehicles stationary, and that isn’t really the way to go if you want to see how nice an engine purrs. Still, for a couple of minutes, you can have a bit of fun with it. Especially if you just completed a nice day at the track.

This is exactly what happened with the owners of these M3s, which decided to show off their exhaust systems after a 2.5 hour race. Between a couple of Dinan exhaust systems and one from AUTOCouture Motoring, they all sound rather nice, but if you want me pick one and say that one is the best, I cannot.

But until those times come, exactly how much carbon fiber can you actually fit on a single car? The owner of this E90 BMW M3 seems to be on his way to finding out. Right now, about half of the car is carbon fiber, from the Arkym hood and front bumper to the Vorsteiner trunk.

Recently, Gintani fronted a teaser for a new twin turbo kit built for the E90/E92 BMW M3, but no specs were revealed yet. Even so, the reaction from the community was pretty much unanimous, with every enthusiast out there applauding Gintani for this news.

The product was estimated to arrive in about 2 months, except the tuner has run into some problems with production and has to delay a bit. All for the best, as enthusiasts have more time to save up for it, even though no price was released as of yet. IND’s very own EuroTeknik moderator, Jesal, has one such vehicle. And it seems the exhaust system combo was so good, that the IND tuning company decided to showcase it in a short video clip.

Sporting an Eisenmann exhaust with Challenge HFC X pipe, this E90 BMW M3 sounds absolutely brilliant. The Bimmer was given the chance to let loose on a closed off piece of road, with results being quite exhilarating.

The short video does’t just capture the sound of an aftermarket exhaust system, but rather displays the pure driving pleasure you get when you are sited behind a BMW’s steering wheel. All else you can judge for yourselves from the following video.

The soundtrack of the M3 comes from Macht Schnell Bypass Track Pipes using stock mufflers. The engine on the E90 Bimmer has also seen some improvement in the form of a VF620 supercharger. With this setup, the best results would have been on the track, so the Sonoma was a right choice.

In order to capture the experience in the E90 BMW M3, the owner asked EAS to install a special recording gadget. A camera was mounted on the vent beneath the driver’s side headlight, and a microphone was installed near the exhaust. All wires were hidden, and the setup made it easy to capture both video and sound without the need of syncing them later on.

This BMW M3 tuned by RS Racingteam reaches the 100km/h in only 4.6 seconds, also 200km/h being reached in under 15 seconds. Great shame to it is that the M3 has the limitation put on 299km/h and it is capable of more than that.

Especially emphasized tuner stiffness, it is much improved.

The price of the E90 BMW M3 is 80.000 Euros or $ 105.000, and if you want a version specifically designed to be used legally on the streets you must add 30.000 Euros more.
