I would say this is a normal progression considering the diminishing resources and the overall eco movement.

As far as performance is concerned, the result after downsizing is usually quite good, in most cases managing to get more power from the newer engines or at the very least match the level of the outgoing engines. But if there is one thing that is definitely lost, is the feel of the engine and the sound it produces.

This has already caused quite the stir among the more fanatic fans of BMW, albeit not quite a fierce one as the front-wheeled Bimmer, but still, there are those that feel the car maker has done wrong by the community. After all, the sound of the naturally aspired 5.0 liter V10 is quite unmistakable.

What these infuriated fans seem to forget is that the sound can be easily fixed with a nice application of a new exhaust system. For this job, there are plenty of aftermarket specialist happy to oblige, just like the next F13 BMW M6, which got a nice Castro GT race exhaust. Enjoy the sound.

And recently they had the chance to prove that with their F13 BMW M6 kit on the Nardo test track.

They were lucky enough to be invited to a special event organized on the track, with the simple goal of finding out which road legal car can go over 300 km/h. The F13 BMW M6 Gran Coupe did that quite easily, managing to go as high as 328.9 km/h.

This makes for a nice feat, one that was possible thanks to AC Schnitzer’s egnineering prowess. Their creation not only manages to dispense 620 Hp and 720 Nm of torque, but the M6 also looks lots slicker with the kit. The quality of this project was now proved yet again, not that a high profile tuner like AC Schnitzer needs the advertisement.

With the highly anticipated PD6XX body kit underway, the aftermarket specialists have offered us yet another teaser.

Coming in the form of a rendering, the new photo is enough to make any F13 BMW M6 owner tremble in excitement. Huge wheel arches coupled with the rear wing, new spoiler, roof air scoop, side sills and splitter make the M6 look like it was taken out of a video game.

Yet, the promise is that this body kit is street legal. We just hope that this rendering is as close in appearance as the actual product, but we won’t find out until the official unveiling. Still, if we are to judge from the past products released by Prior Design, we can rest assured that this particular body kit will sell.

The latest to enjoy the attention of the German car maker is Marc Marquez, the winner of the MotoGP.

The 20 years old champ took home not just the 1st place, as his spoils also encompass a very nice one-off F13 BMW M6 Coupe. BMW gave the M6 a very nice treatment, both outside and inside. Power is provided by a 4.4 liter V8 engine, a full 560 Hp and 680 Nm of torque.

As for the aesthetics, BMW deemed fit to paint the exterior with their Frozen Black, after hoisting the machine atop 20 inch wheels, also black. The interior sports high quality Merino Sakhir Orange leather and plenty of carbon fiber trims.

In other words, Marc Marquez got a jewel of a car, and all he had to do for it is win a measly MotoGP. Jokes aside, we congratulate him on his victory and on his prize F13 BMW M6.

Aesthetics were also improved by the German tuner, with carbon fiber front spoiler lip and rear diffuser, and chromed grilles. Ride height was lowered 15 mm at the front an 25 mm at the back thanks to new suspensions, and the exhaust system was enhanced with Sport Trim tailpipes.

No matter which BMW M6 you own, AC Schnitzer will also make available three sets of wheels and a top notch interior.

Called the Manhart MH6 S Biturbo, the new tuning project is set to hit the markets this summer.

The initial data we got on the MH5 S Biturbo suggests it is good for about 700 Hp (up from 560) and 900 Nm of torque. This is achieved through some ECU tinkering and installing some performance parts. Manhart also fitted a new exhaust system with downpipes, sports catalytic converter and a custom made end silencer.

The exterior of this F13 BMW M6 also exhibits the touch of Manhart’s wizards. The body kit will use a lot of carbon fiber for the vented hood, front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and trunk lid. Manhart’s MH6 S Biturbo will sit atop forged alloy wheels and will have fitted a coilover kit.

The price for this new jewel is yet to be revealed, but I am sure the German tuners will have no problems selling this BMW M6.
