For the untrained eye (and ear), there is no real difference when a BMW 3 Series or a BMW M3 goes by. They are basically the same car, no?

But for BMW enthusiasts, such an attitude is borderline offensive. To this end, and to add some style, BMW announced that M Performance stripes are available to spruce up most M BMWs.

The models that will be able to opt for this feature include the 1 Series M Coupe, M3 Coupe, Convertible and Sedan, M5, M6 Coupe and Convertible, the 3 Series Coupe and Sedan with M Sport Package as well as the 3 Series and 5 Series.

Pricing starts at 175 USD for the front and rear stripes. Upgrading to a 350 USD budget you can also get the side stripes for the E92 / E93 BMW M3 and 1M models. For the larger BMW X5 M and X6 M, the side stripes will cost 400 USD while for the F30 3 Series 175 USD will sufice.
