Today we are going to discuss about the tuning program that Belgian tuning company Power Plus Engineering has implemented on the below BMW X6 M. It didn’t receive too many visual enhancements, but it does look more striking and, why not, appealing, with the new body wrap. It kinda masks its rugged and boring (for some) personality.

So, this model here is showing off with a combination between BMW M colours and adds as well yellow headlights, meant to indicate we are dealing here with a genuine racer. The SUV is also highlighted in the two videos below, so there`s plenty of information you can find out about its new looks.

The aggressive attitude, especially at the rear end, is given by the Akrapovic exhaust system which announces a new power boost under the hood. There are also the Manhart alloy wheels which also provide a more intimidating and engaging personality.

Moving under the hood, it`s where the real action takes place. In stock form, the BMW X6 M is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, with no less than 567 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, and that`s in the second generation X6 M. that allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 4.2 seconds, and that despite its massive body style.

However, the technicians from Power Plus Engineering have added an ECU remapping and a couple of more mechanics that make this X6 M extremely powerful, which is around 700 horsepower. That means a significant improvement in the straight line acceleration; we can guess around 3.9 seconds.

It is wrapped in the gorgeous Mineral Gray exterior colour and comes with the newly added HRE wheels, which increase its aggressive looks and extraordinary stance.

The wheels refer to the R101LW custom forged alloy wheels which were specially built for track use and other fun activities like burnouts or drifting sessions.

The HRE R101LW are sized 20 x 8.5 and 20 x 10.5 front and rear, respectively and are finished in Frozen Rose Bronze, being wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and perfectly built for adrenaline rush. They also provide increase driving dynamics and stability on tight corners at high-speeds.

Besides the new set of wheels, the F82 BMW M4 by HRE Wheels has been also fitted with some new carbon fiber exterior parts commissioned by PSM Dynamic, including the carbon fiber rear diffuser or high-performance Akrapovic bespoke exhaust system, which increases the car`s engine soundtrack. Even so, it seems that this model has not received any modifications under the hood.

Under the hood, even if this F82 BMW M4 comes with a high-performance exhaust system which announces a slight overboost, it still remains stock with the 3.0-liter straight-six engine, with 431 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It can thus sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds with a standard six-speed manual transmission, while with the seven-speed M-DCT the same sprint is done in just 4.1 seconds. The top speed stands at 250 km/h.

We are not sure which tuner is responsible for this outstanding project, but it surely deserves our deep respect and consideration for a well-done job .

This particular model is a standout project, thanks to the new styling elements from different tuners, with the main highlight on the rear end, where it packs Akrapovic`s exhaust system, which might indicate a power boost under the hood as well.

Besides the Lithuanian tuner`s high-performance exhaust system, this Yas Marina Blue F80 M4 has also received custom side-skirts and PSM Dynamic rear diffuser, RevoZport wide rear wing, all complemented with the HRE R101 alloy wheels with a black finish, which improve the car`s aggressive look and provides a greater stance.

The model has also received some important mechanical bits, including the two-way adjustable suspension system from KW, Dinan sway bars, control arms and a few more. The performance under the hood has also been raised, thanks to the new power kit courtesy of VF Engineering tuning company. So far, we do not know the details with the new power.

As a reminder, the F80 BMW M4 comes with a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine with 431 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Hooked to a six-speed transmission, the model manages a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, while with the seven-speed M Dual-Clutch, the M4 reaches 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

Apart the impressive engine soundtrack, the Akrapovic exhaust system also delivers moderate or standout power boosts, depending on the customer`s choice.

Recently, such a high-performance exhaust system has been fitted on the F31 BMW 340i, the engine`s wild sound also being showcased in the video below. Even if we are dealing here with the Touring version of the facelifted 3-Series, the model is still a hot looking ride and the exhaust would indeed increase the car`s personality and flair.

The car`s B58 3.0-liter straight six-cylinder petrol engine now sounds extremely hot and wild, especially when the car is just stationed or being driven on the roads.

As for the price involved, the entire system costs $3,000 in the United States, meaning that you will get the full treatment, such as stainless steel exhaust, which also adds a power boost of approximately 4 horsepower and 6 Nm of torque. It`s not much but what is worth hearing here is just the engine`s lion`s growl.

A supercharger could be the first choice for most, but for this BMW M5 owner, the first and only performance upgrade was an Akrapovic exhaust system.

Now don’t get me wrong, this upgrade has its merits, as it not only changes the soundtrack of the best, but also adds some horses while reducing weight. Thus, with the Akrapovic Titanium Evolution exhaust system, the BMW M5 delivers 572 Hp and 740 Nm of torque, while reducing the weight of the car by 10.5 kg.

And, as you might have noticed, that is not all that the Bimmer is sporting, as the owner deemed necessary to drape the car in a special paint job, all centered around the company that brought the exhaust. Of course, a lot more could have been done tot he car, considering it will take part in the 2014 goldRush rally, but even if it won’t be the most powerful beast out there, it will turn heads with the looks.

And while this just might be an off occurrence, brought on by the excitement of a new model, it is nice to see that the 4 Series Coupe is gathering such a following.

One of the latest aftermarket specialists that jumped aboard is Akrapovic. Best known for their high quality, high performance exhaust systems, they recently presented one of their items for the 435i. As usual with Akrapovic, along with the technical data on power improvement, they also attached sound files for both stock and tuned versions of the BMW 435i, even going so far as to provide a nice video.

Using the Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, the BMW 435i will see an increase of 7 Hp at 5850 RPM, while torque is upped by 10.5 Nm at 3500 RPM. Of course, some weight was also shed, if only just 800 grams. No price yet, though. And for a taste of things to come, check out the video below.
