<p>Back in their other life, they would rely on cheap hatchbacks to make their name. Eventually they ended up making them expensive but that&#8217;s another story.</p>

<p>After a while away, Dimma is now making a comeback and they&#8217;ve chosen a BMW model to highlight their return. It&#8217;s an E64 3 Series Coupe, a car that&#8217;s now as cheap as a hatchback.<br />
<span id="more-1418"></span><br />
Having started out with a clean, lovely silver painted 3 Series Coupe, they produced the Dimma D3 package, which isn&#8217;t really the prettiest car ever made.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s do a quick summary of what&#8217;s going on. The fenders have been widened. That&#8217;s quite the good idea. The side skirts aren&#8217;t a good idea.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1421" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1421" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-2.jpg" alt="Dimma E64 BMW 3 Series" width="520" height="349" class="size-full wp-image-1421" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-2.jpg 1000w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-2-768x516.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1421" class="wp-caption-text">Dimma E64 BMW 3 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>Firstly because of the color scheme and secondly because of the enormous vent in the side of each of them. Something else that isn&#8217;t a good idea is the set of bumpers they&#8217;ve come up with.</p>
<p>Both the front and the back look horrible with oversized openings and ungainly shapes. Once the conversion is done, Dimma moves on to provide a full two tone body wrap.</p>
<p>On something different looking it is a scheme that has been known to work. With the Dimma D3, it seems to have faded some of its appeal.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1422" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1422" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-1.jpg" alt="Dimma E64 BMW 3 Series" width="520" height="349" class="size-full wp-image-1422" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-1.jpg 1000w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Dimma-E64-BMW-3-Series-1-768x516.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1422" class="wp-caption-text">Dimma E64 BMW 3 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>There is something about the E64 3 Series by Dimma that actually works brilliantly here, it&#8217;s the 20 inch alloys chosen. These are straight off the E63/64 M6.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s what happened, the guys over at MR Car Design decided to give the E64 BMW M3 CSL a makeover but they realized that visual tweaks were not going to be enough.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1147" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1147" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-1.jpg" alt="MR Car Design E64 BMW M3 CSL" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-1147" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-1.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1147" class="wp-caption-text">MR Car Design E64 BMW M3 CSL</figcaption></figure>
<p>In order to achieve the desired results, they contracted REIL Performance to handle the upgrade procedure and boy did they deliver.<br />
<span id="more-1145"></span><br />
The headlines claim a final weight of 2.778 pounds and that the 3.2 liter straight six cylinder engine now develops a grand total of 392 horsepower.</p>
<p>Achieving the engine upgrade didn&#8217;t require too much as everything was achieved with an ECU upgrade and a sportier exhaust system.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1148" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1148" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-3.jpg" alt="MR Car Design E64 BMW M3 CSL" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-1148" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-3.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1148" class="wp-caption-text">MR Car Design E64 BMW M3 CSL</figcaption></figure>
<p>The weight drop would then go on by giving the E64 BMW M3 CSL the most tortured diet ever available on the market. Carbon fiber panels replace just about everything on the standard car.</p>
<p>Even the additional rear spoiler won&#8217;t add in on the weight. The stripped out interior was completely gutted out and the nearly livable with seats were replaced by full on racing buckets.</p>
<p>An upgraded braking system now lies underneath the lightweight BBS racing alloys and the custom Yokohama tires.</p>
<figure id="attachment_1149" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1149" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-2.jpg" alt="MR Car Design E64 BMW M3 CSL" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-1149" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-2.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MR-Car-Design-E64-BMW-M3-CSL-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-1149" class="wp-caption-text">MR Car Design E64 BMW M3 CSL</figcaption></figure>
<p>Some people at MR Car Design claim that the tuning they&#8217;ve done to these bits and the suspension components will actually improve the handling now.</p>
<p>You have to picture the fact that even though there was a rollcage added to the lightweight car, it still lost over 200 lbs off its final weight.</p>

<p>Tuning companies and creators of various custom accessories for our cars will not hesitate to cash in on this situation.</p>

<p>This must be the explanation for the way a new set of wheels that were specifically designed by D2Forged for the BMW M6 have turned up right now.<br />
<span id="more-919"></span><br />
According to the wheel making company, this was a specific product for the E64 BMW M6&#8217;s convertible counterpart. Though that sounds unusual there&#8217;s a good amount of sense in it.</p>
<p>When you fit a performance car that&#8217;s already pretty stiffly damped with 21 inch alloy wheels, you are probably going to never drive it anyway other than slow.</p>
<figure id="attachment_922" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-922" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-3.jpg" alt="D2Forged BMW M6" width="520" height="335" class="size-full wp-image-922" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-3.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-3-300x193.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-3-768x495.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-3-1024x660.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-922" class="wp-caption-text">D2Forged BMW M6</figcaption></figure>
<p>Boulevard cruising is probably the only thing your spine can take with this setup and that seems just as well since the whole point is showing off.</p>
<p>The multi-spoke alloys aren&#8217;t particularly light, particularly strong, particularly easy to clean or particularly useful.</p>
<p>If you can appreciate the beauty of a Gloss Black paint finish with an Interlagos Blue Lip Stripe and some extra darkened lug nuts.</p>
<figure id="attachment_923" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-923" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-2.jpg" alt="D2Forged BMW M6" width="520" height="340" class="size-full wp-image-923" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-2.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-2-300x197.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-2-768x504.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/D2Forged-BMW-M6-2-1024x671.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-923" class="wp-caption-text">D2Forged BMW M6</figcaption></figure>

<p>The only people who may suffer or not stand to see this sort of advertising and marketing are the ones who actually own a E63/E64 version of the car.</p>
<figure id="attachment_827" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-827" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-1.jpg" alt="Wald International BMW 6 Series" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-827" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-1.jpg 840w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-1-768x512.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-827" class="wp-caption-text">Wald International BMW 6 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>The previous generation was sleeker at the frond even though its rear end was a little clunky. This is why there are still plenty of fans of this model.<br />
<span id="more-825"></span><br />
If the owners of this model still want the feeling that they stand out, that they&#8217;re driving a very special car and that they love the way it looks, they&#8217;re going to have to resort to some tuning.</p>
<p>Suddenly the Japanese at Wald International remind you that they make a very impressive tuning package for that 6 Series and there&#8217;s another thing.</p>
<figure id="attachment_828" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-828" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-3.jpg" alt="Wald International BMW 6 Series" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-828" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-3.jpg 840w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-3-768x512.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-828" class="wp-caption-text">Wald International BMW 6 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>Since they are from Japan, they&#8217;re a very unlikely tuner for a BMW. Despite this, their package is very well thought out.</p>
<p>Everything is painted black, the windows are tinted, the alloys are shiny and gray and the exhaust system is tweaked for a bit of extra noise.</p>
<p>Seriously, there&#8217;s nothing to fault the Wald International BMW 6 Series especially considering that their new body kit has a very special feat on its side.</p>
<figure id="attachment_829" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-829" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-2.jpg" alt="Wald International BMW 6 Series" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-829" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-2.jpg 840w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Wald-International-BMW-6-Series-2-768x512.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-829" class="wp-caption-text">Wald International BMW 6 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>It&#8217;s not very easy to figure out what the Japanese tuner changed, updated or tweaked. That gives the person who see it a very inviting second look request.</p>
<p>Prices and availability are only available on contact though.</p>
