Some people consider it pretty powerful in its own right, without the need of more work, but most get hooked on the power and want more.

For most, BMW’s M Division offer a more than decent upgrade for most of their lineup. Yet not every version of the BMW 3 Series was deemed worthy for the M treatment. And the E91 BMW 3 Series won’t be pampered by them, no matter how much owners might protest.

To show BMW off, one such owner decided to make his own conversion of his E91 BMW M3. While the power has yet to be tempered with, the car did receive all OEM M3 body parts. These include the front and rear bumper, hood, Euro spec mirrors, front fenders, headlights, side skirts, or, in other words, the works. The end result is quite satisfying, but even with these shining examples, chances are that BMW still won’t change their tune.

Unfortunately, as you progress through life, priorities change, maybe a family is formed, so your coupe no longer makes sense.

If that is still not enough, and you feel the need to let loose once you drop the kids off, the guys from BBM Motorsport offer now a special version of the E91. Working on the 330d version, they managed to get the power up to 274 Hp and 859 Nm of torque. That makes for a 44 Hp and 339 Nm increase, which is quite a lot of more torque.

A Supersprint exhaust system was fitted to it to manage the burned refuse while the ride was tuned with a KW Street Comfort suspension. As for aesthetics, BBM went with red vinyl wrap and BBS CH-R wheels.

One of the cars left out is the 3 Series Touring, which they probably deemed unworthy of the M treatment.

And while I can understand why, some owners take the refusal to offer an M version to heart, and so they take it on themselves to convert their 3 Series Touring into M versions. This is the second E91 M3 Touring that we know about so far, and there might be more out there.

Under the hood, the owner placed a S65 V8 engine coupled with a DCT transmission. The exterior displays full M3 body panels, mirrors and custom M3 rear bumper, all painted in Mineral White. Inside we get BMW Performance seats and alcantara steering wheel.

The M3 conversion of the E91 Touring took about 5 months and cost around 40.000 GBP, and the owner plans more modification, like a new paint and the S63Tu V8 engine.
