The daring project belongs to the Garage Eve.Ryn tuning company and it is called Energy Sprot Evo BMW i8 Dark Night. A pretty long name for such a build, but we could simply call it the BMW i8 Dark Night.

It is not that kind of a car that shines in the dark, but it does stand out with an impressive body wrap, adding as well carbon fiber all around the body, which definitely make it a unique project. And the video released below reveals just that.

As you can also notice from the media gallery, our special ride here is looking fresh and crazy with the aggressive carbon fiber body kit, with the main highlight on the vertical spoiler installed on the edge of the bumpers, adding as well bespoke diffuser, rear spoiler, new air suspension and the one-off set of wheels.

Under the hood, this ride stays loyal to its stock I3 1.5-liter synchronous engine backed by an electric motor. At the 2017 Geneva Motor Show we have had the chance of seeing the BMW i8 CrossFade shining at the stand with an exquisite design which focus on a “specific colour design, developed from a common painting genre during the 18th and early 20th century, which gives an expressive appearance.”

The BMW i8 CrossFade`s design was also highly spoken by Adrian von Hooydonk, Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design, also stating that:

“Lapo Elkann is a pioneer in linking the disciplines of fashion, automobile and design. As a designer, I find this comprehensive approach particularly exciting. With BMW i, we have been successful in overcoming previous restrictions in automotive design through the use of entirely new materials. So the progressive expressiveness of the Garage Italia CrossFade Edition is perfectly in keeping with the BMW i3 and the BMW i8.”

At the exterior, the BMW i8 comes with a mixture between the Protonic Blue and Protonic Dark Silver, adding as well high-end features inside the cabin, like Alcantara fabrics covering the central tunnel, headliner, and side panels. We are also dealing here with Foglizzo leather seats, Protonic Blue and perforated Alcantara with contrast stitching.

The German tuner`s latest project involves the i8 plug-in hybrid model from BMW, which will be definitely well-received by journalists worldwide.

This particular model has been fitted with the tuner`s Carbon Aerodynamic Accessories package which consists of a plethora of carbon fiber composites, making it one of the most complete i8 in the tuning segment.

Starting with the cabin, the technicians from AC Schnitzer have added new touches, like aluminum pedal set, aluminum footrest and floor mats which bring a sportier feel and cozy look.

As for the car`s performance, this model remains a stock too. Visually however, we are looking at a completely new car, all tweaked with the latest carbon fiber components in the tuning world.

The model stands out from the crowd with carbon fiber middle front spoiler, carbon fiber bonnet top with middle strut, carbon front side wing and more carbon fiber air outlets at both front and rear for a sportier look and greater stance.

There are also the fiber skirts on both sides, with three-piece carbon rear diffuser providing the i8 with more downforce and better pressure distribution, adding as well carbon fiber door handle recesses and mirror covers, and new logos.

The impressive carbon fiber aero kit is complemented with the tuner`s special and lightweight AC1 Forged Alloy Wheels in BiColor or Anthracite which perfectly complement the Red Chrome exterior wrap. They are sized 21 x 8.5J and 21 x 9.5J front and rear, respectively, and are also built to increase the car`s impressive dynamics.

The latest tuning project involving a BMW i8 comes from Wheels Boutique shop, the technicians deciding to add a slight makeover at the body styling, with the main focus on the wheels and blacked-out body wrap, which make it one of the most aggressive in the tuning world.

We are looking here at a new set of HRE Performance wheels, which are extremely wide and increase the car`s personal look and aggressive attitude. And that is what makes it a genuine plug-in hybrid. Besides that, this BMW i8 remains pretty much the same in terms of performance.

This means that it still packs a synchronous 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, hooked to electric motor, putting in motion all wheels. The combustion engine delivers an impressive 231 horsepower being sent to the rear axle, while the electric motors churns out an excess of 131 horsepower delivered to the front wheels. The car is also allowing a full-electric range of up to 35 km at a top speed of 120 km/h.
