The new kit is called the BMW 1M Coupe GTS-V package, something pretty much typical with the tuner’s branding habits.

Vorsteiner BMW 1 Series M Coupe GTS-V

That’s not all that’s typical for Vorsteiner, the contents of the package seems to be the same as their other products with the GTS-V name.

Minor aerodynamic changes are spotted, some make considerable differences whereas others barely make any.

Either way, Vorsteiner uses carbon fiber on all the parts that go on the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. Even if there are some new additions, they weigh next to nothing.

Vorsteiner BMW 1 Series M Coupe GTS-V

With the parts that are replaced, boot lid, front lip and all the ducting that implies to cool the brakes, that’s a different story as weight is lost.

Along side the improved aero and reduced girth, the Vorsteiner BMW 1 Series M Coupe also gets a wee bit more power thanks to a new sports exhaust system.

To be precise, that’s 15 horsepower and 5 lb-ft of torque courtesy of a titanium setup. Everything is enjoyable and even this bit of the story saves some weight.

About that, guess what performance figure is aided by the brand new 19 or 20 inch BBS light alloy wheels. All of the components Vorsteiner has in store are bolt-on bits.

More importantly, because they can be fitted onto the standard bolting points, they’ll also be easily reversible and backwards compatible.

Before BMW created the X5 M, the only real chance at going fast in a really big vehicle was to tune up the X5 SAV. With the introduction of the M developed model it seems different.

The BMW X5 M is impressive on so many levels it seems pointless to keep tuning the lesser brother but that’s not how G-Power feels.

BMW X5 by G-Power

The German tuner still thinks there’s a case for its Typhoon package for the BMW X5 so let’s grab a second look and see if it’s still worth it.

Having started out with the top end xDrive48i the tuner took the 4.8 liter V8 engine all the way up to 528 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque.

With this engine the G-Power X5 can go from 0 to 62 in 4.7 seconds and hit a top speed of around 170 mph.

BMW X5 by G-Power

A new body kit is formed of flared wheel arches, new bumpers, a new hood and a discrete rear spoiler. The looks are more aggressive but still relatively bearable.

What is important about the looks is the fitting of new multispoke 23 inch alloy wheels and some very low profile tires.

That’s where handling is compromised but this is where things start to count once again. The G-Power BMW X5 is still using standard suspension so it’s not as stiff as the X5 M.

BMW X5 by G-Power

There’s also the issue of pricing, the G-Power BMW X5 costs quite the chunk of change less since they’re only expensive mod is the supercharger kit.

G-Power wouldn’t be too obvious about the costs of the entire package but they’re adamant it’s less than the X5 M costs more than the normal SAV.

They’ve offered up a serious performance boost to the BMW X6 M and while they were at it they worked up a new wide body kit for it as well.

The new look of the BMW X6 M Typhoon is an acquired taste, as are the 23 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and well… just about everything to do with the looks.

Appeal isn’t what they’re lacking once you consider the practical side of the story. G-Power claims improved aerodynamics, high speed stability and cooling thanks to the look.

G-Power BMW X6 M Typhoon

The cooling is required since the engine now develops a whopping 725 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque.

With that engine the performance figures weigh in at 4.2 seconds to get to 62 mph and the top speed figure is above 190 mph.

That’s just mind boggling performance when you’re sitting so high in the BMW X6 M Typhoon. Speaking of which, the interior is once again a bit questionable.

G-Power BMW X6 M Typhoon

The Black leather, Alcantara and most of the trim look great. It’s the small orange accents and the similar toned stitching that don’t seem quite so impressive.

With all the mods that go into the G-Power BMW X6 M Typhoon kit the pricing is slightly terrifying. You can buy them in bits but overall you’re looking at some 80.000 dollars.

The VMS-F10 package is a pretty comprehensive light tuning proposition which sharpens up the look, the aero and messes with the performance just a little bit.

The look of the Vorsteiner VMS-F10 is what dominates the experience. Starting with a redesigned body kit, the original presence of the 5 Series was somehow maintained.

Despite a new front spoiler, rear spoiler and the integration of a diffuser you will struggle to spot the differences. Where you won’t struggle is in the wheel department.

Vorsteiner VMS-F10 5 Series

This is where the American tuner fitted 20 inch (21 inch at the back) five spoke forged alloy wheels and then powder coated them as dark as possible.

Also easy to spot is the new decklid spoiler and the completely clear rear light assembly they’ve opted for.

Though performance mods are limited to it, Vorsteiner seem very pleased with the new full cat back exhaust system they’ve fitted.

No unusual mods, bolt on benefits, full cats, louder exhaust (with some F1 tones) and a minimal performance gain is what they want to shout about.

Apparently, the new system can provide anywhere up to 12 horsepower and 2 lb-ft of torque extra, depending on model, testing conditions and the usual factors of tuning.
