<p>All great efforts but the thing is, history&#8217;s tendency to repeat itself must never be something neglected because there&#8217;s very important lessons back there.</p>
<figure id="attachment_574" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-574" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-1.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW X6 M" width="520" height="407" class="size-full wp-image-574" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-1.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-1-300x235.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-1-768x601.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-1-1024x801.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-574" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW X6 M</figcaption></figure>
<p>I&#8217;ll bring up a relevant example, the BMW X6 M Mansory created back when the original version of the car was introduced.<br />
<span id="more-573"></span><br />
Now that the Bavarians have revised the BMW X6 M&#8217;s standard version, the Swiss tuner will hopefully stay away and not horrify it with a followup.</p>
<p>The performance levels are not the problem. As almost always with Mansory, the looks are the main concern of tuning such a vehicle.</p>
<figure id="attachment_575" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-575" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-3.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW X6 M" width="520" height="296" class="size-full wp-image-575" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-3.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-3-300x171.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-3-768x437.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-3-1024x582.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-575" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW X6 M</figcaption></figure>
<p>A mundane two-tone black and white paint job, a hugely opened up front end, vents everywhere, enormous 23 inch wheels and garden roller 315 mm wide tires.</p>
<p>All of these details are found on the Mansory BMW X6 M and none of them work with the other. Even though some of them might not be so bad on their own.</p>
<p>The interior and performance options are, thankfully, much better. You can spec up the interior with stuff like Alcantara, wood or aluminium trim or carbon fiber.</p>
<figure id="attachment_576" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-576" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-2.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW X6 M" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-576" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-2.jpg 1600w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-X6-M-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-576" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW X6 M</figcaption></figure>
<p>And under the bonnet, the BMW X6 M that Mansory prepped had the same 4.4 liter V8 engine with its twin-turbo kit turned up.</p>
<p>The end result was a power output of 670 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. That meant 0 to 62 happened in 4.2 seconds and the top speed went up to 186 mph. </p>

<p>However not even they could have had a BMW 7 Series on their hands and mistreated it in their usual fashion.</p>
<figure id="attachment_518" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-518" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-1.jpg" rel="lightbox-0"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-1.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW 7 Series" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-518" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-1.jpg 717w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-1-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-518" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW 7 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>Words like subtle and discrete may be a little to ambitious, but it&#8217;s not so bad that you couldn&#8217;t use words like &#8220;not hideous&#8221;.<br />
<span id="more-515"></span><br />
That may have been a little mean. Or not, I really think it&#8217;s a deserved description for the large luxury barge that is the F01.</p>
<p>On the brighter side, the Mansory BMW 7 Series still looks mostly like an actual 7 Series, so not all has been lost with this particular model.</p>
<figure id="attachment_519" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-519" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-3.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW 7 Series" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-519" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-3.jpg 717w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-3-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-519" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW 7 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>The Swedish tuner only focuses on the big time models such as the 750i and 760i. Even so, there&#8217;s a couple of upgrades going on in the engine department.</p>
<p>Should your heart desire for the V8 you&#8217;ll be getting 490 instead of 400 horsepower.</p>
<p>If the V12 flavor is what&#8217;s captivating your soul, the news is even better, 544 hp is turned into 640. All that added power will make the Mansory BMW 760i capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 in just 4.2 seconds.</p>
<p>Not bad really, especially when you consider the new set of 22&#8243; wheels they fit isn&#8217;t aimed at performance but looks.</p>
<figure id="attachment_520" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-520" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-2.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW 7 Series" width="520" height="347" class="size-full wp-image-520" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-2.jpg 717w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Mansory-BMW-7-Series-2-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-520" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW 7 Series</figcaption></figure>
<p>Those who appreciate the interior of such an image machine more than the exterior or performance will be glad to know Mansory opted for the best materials to garnish it with.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s stuff like burl wood, leather or ultra-suede. Carbon fiber is the only stuff that doesn&#8217;t really fit in.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s actually one of the craziest machines you can buy and the fact that you can bring your family along for the fun isn&#8217;t really that.</p>

<p>What it really is for a lot of the BMW X5 M&#8217;s passengers is terrifying. Swiss tuning company Mansory decided to give the exterior the same sort of feeling.<br />
<span id="more-318"></span><br />
It&#8217;s terrifyingly chintzy and glitzy and I&#8217;ve even heard that some of these cars were actually turned down by a bunch of Chelsea football players.</p>
<p>The fitting of the enormous gunmetal finish alloy wheels isn&#8217;t that bad but when it comes to the new body kit and accessories&#8230; kids will run away from it.</p>
<figure id="attachment_321" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-321" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-3.jpg" rel="lightbox-1"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-3.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW X5 M" width="520" height="332" class="size-full wp-image-321" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-3.jpg 1200w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-3-300x191.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-3-768x490.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-3-1024x653.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-321" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW X5 M</figcaption></figure>
<p>Carbon fiber now makes up the radiator grille surrounds, the new rear spoiler, the trim on the lower back door, side skirts and front lip.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s worse than the unwelcome accents is the way they&#8217;ve shaped the front bumper and the newly fitted vented hood.</p>
<p>Just in case you might realize that, the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine was modified to develop 670 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque.</p>
<figure id="attachment_322" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-322" style="width: 520px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-2"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-2.jpg" alt="Mansory BMW X5 M" width="520" height="332" class="size-full wp-image-322" srcset="https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-2.jpg 1200w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-2-300x191.jpg 300w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-2-768x490.jpg 768w, https://www.bmwcartuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Mansory-BMW-X5-M-2-1024x653.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-322" class="wp-caption-text">Mansory BMW X5 M</figcaption></figure>
<p>That means the Mansory BMW X5 M can get from 0 to 62 in as little as 4.2 seconds. We&#8217;re not sure about the top speed limiter situation right now.</p>
<p>Thankfully, they haven&#8217;t messed about with the suspension setup. That was already hard enough as it was, the only way to make it feel &#8220;sportier&#8221; would have been to fit solid shock absorbers.</p>
