The most exciting car BMW made during our time is finally getting an upgrade package from one of the most aggressive tuners out there.

From the outside, the changes don’t showoff the way the underpinnings have been treated. So far, no complaints have appeared because of this.

Just a few decals have been used and they actually look like tribal paint African warriors would quickly put on before hitting the fight.

And boy can this white African fight. The 3.0 liter straight six twin-turbocharged engine can now flex its muscles beyond the M3’s capabilities.

According to G-Power it’s now capable of pushing out 435 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque. This was achieved using reshaped pipes, titanium exhaust and an ECU remap.

The reshaped exhaust, the special material used in particular lost some weight. 44 lbs have been dropped and there’s more to consider.

In order to make sure you keep the car in check G-Power tuning fitted 20 Silverstone alloys with Michelin sports tires.

Underneath those enormous wheels G-Power used new brakes with six piston calipers and enormous 396 mm rotors up front.

At this point the overall change is easy to spot. Going from 0 to 62 mph takes no more than 4.5 seconds, with the top speed going as far as 186 mph.

This should be one wild ride and it’s obvious that G-Power didn’t disappoint. We weren’t expecting it but the 1 Series is such a favorite of the crowd it’s easy to get trapped working on it.

There may be a bit of an extra bit of joy about the way the F10 BMW M5 looks when you walk up to it but we all know that once you press that start button you don’t really care about it anymore.

This specific unit of the 3D Design tweaked BMW M5 is special because it gets a new Akrapovic exhaust system which makes up for the difference.

With the new setup there’s a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system which comes to some special carbon fiber tips at the end.

The owner made these choices with quite some smart thinking but he didn’t stop there. While he still had his tin foil cup on he had a few special ideas.

He replaced the standard suspension setup with some new H&R Springs, got some spacer action to keep the wheels neatly tucked in and lowered the car.

The radiator grille got itself a bit of a makeover but that’s not all. It seems that he’s got quite the plan ready for the car’s future.

That list includes a custom M intake, a reprogrammed ECU, some custom piping for the turbos and a brand new set of alloy wheels.

Oh and take a second look at that license plate number before you start praising the tasteful sort of tuning that’s going on here.

The BMW M3, in this E92 form, is one of the aging rock stars of the day so it feels like it’s aging. The only trouble really comes in with the 1 M.

Since the M3 was getting a little old, they had to make the 1M a little slower in order to keep the product lineup “logical”.

Some added performance in the BMW M3 really wouldn’t hurt it. And there’s another thing the hottest 3 Series could get along with.

Getting some extra engagement is a little tricky, particularly in the loud pedal reactions to prodding. No real complaints are made about the performance of the M3.

That said, it wouldn’t bother anybody to get a little bit more power and, more importantly a lot more noise.

There’s only one tuning upgrade that could genuinely satisfy both these aspects, the exhaust system. This is where Akrapovic come in with this video.

Just take a good listen of the sort of rumble coming out of that thing there and realize that spending the extra money is well worth it.

On the performance front, the new Akrapovic exhaust provides an extra 22 hp and 26 lb-ft of torque and, since it’s made out of titanium it drops 53 lbs from the final weight as well.

I’m not a fan of exhausts modded just for the sake of noise but when it works all these fronts not even I can say no.
