Ever considered the BMW 1 Series M Coupe a kind, docile and well spoken being? Nope, neither did we, it’s a mean, angry yob that just wants to have fun.
Hartge Tuning however think that’s not the case and that it could use a few more injections of botox, crazy and performance.
This is why they’ve awkwardly introduced this new kit which manages to provide just that to the little Bavarian sedan.
The 3.0 liter straight six twin turbo engine gets a new exhaust and a “power kit” and the performance it now chucks out is 401 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque.
That’s not only considerably more than the standard engine, it’s also very close to what the V8 in the M3 develops.
Something of a similar sort has happened with the suspension. Hartge fitted a sporty one which comes with a 30 mm drop and is aimed at better stability.
Naturally, the wheel and tire setup that comes with the BMW 1 Series M Coupe from the factory is a little boring so Hartge is ready to give customers more options.
The interior wasn’t actually touched but you can have aluminium pedals and custom designed floor mats. A few more changes were made to the exterior and they’re not exactly there just to complement the new set of alloys.
On the boot lid and on the roof we now find a spoiler, the exhaust tips have been swapped out for new ones and you get the full privilege of Hartge badges.
