I bet you have already heard about the special edition BMW M5 that the German car maker is preparing.
The 30 Jahre Edition, which in English is the 30 years Edition, is exactly what it sounds like, an M5 that celebrates 30 years of M5.
As you might expect, a lot of badges were placed to make sure everyone knows what kind of M5 this is, but as far as modifications go, this is the least interesting detail. The best part lies under the hood, where the guys from the m Division really outdid themselves.
The 4.4 liter V8 engine has received quite the boost, now being able to produce 600 Hp and 700 Nm or torque. These numbers translate into an acceleration time to 100 km/h of just 3.9 seconds. This time makes the 30 year anniversary BMW M5 the fastest BMW ever produced (at least regarding the dash to 100 km/h). The only downside of this whole deal is the fact that BMW will only be making 300 units.
