And for good reason, too, as this kit caters to the F31 BMW 3 Series Touring, a model that is not that popular among enthusiasts.

And if that wasn’t enough, the kit itself doesn’t bring that much of a change to the vehicle. Just enough to spruce things up while still maintaining the practical side of the BMW 3 Series Touring. Basically, it’s for the dads that want to look better taking kids to school.

Aesthetic wise, Hamann went with a nice aero kit, comprised of a front spoiler and a rear diffuser. To that, the aftermarket specialist added a new suspension system, which lowers the car by 30 mm, and a set of in-house wheels. For that extra something, you can also get an ECU upgrade and a 4 tip exhaust. The ECU upgrade is available for all engines residing in the F31 BMW 3 Series Touring.

With more models to use the xDrive, aftermarket specialists also have to step up their game and provide adequate parts for avid tuners.

And when it comes to suspensions, few can hold a candle to the parts built by KW. And their latest work targets the xDrive models, more specifically, the F30 3 Series Sedan. They have recently revealed their coilover kits, which come in 3 variants.

The Variant 1 suspension is the basic one, and will provide a factory set damping. Moving up to the Variant 2, you get to adjust the rebound damping with 16 clicks.

Variant 3 KW suspension for the F30 BMW 3 Series is the top of the line, and it provides performance fitting for the place. It will bring any buyer more options for customization, and KW says it’s basically “racing technology for the street”.

But no matter which of the three Variants you go for, all of them will provide a boon over track stability of the car and steering precision, with each variant bringing in other benefits as well. With the F30 set for now, KW also promises that come mid September, the BMW 3 Series xDrive station wagon will also get a set of new suspensions.

One of the cars left out is the 3 Series Touring, which they probably deemed unworthy of the M treatment.

And while I can understand why, some owners take the refusal to offer an M version to heart, and so they take it on themselves to convert their 3 Series Touring into M versions. This is the second E91 M3 Touring that we know about so far, and there might be more out there.

Under the hood, the owner placed a S65 V8 engine coupled with a DCT transmission. The exterior displays full M3 body panels, mirrors and custom M3 rear bumper, all painted in Mineral White. Inside we get BMW Performance seats and alcantara steering wheel.

The M3 conversion of the E91 Touring took about 5 months and cost around 40.000 GBP, and the owner plans more modification, like a new paint and the S63Tu V8 engine.

There is not much to this project, but the essentials have been covered, with modification to both performance and looks.

JMS installed a front spoiler lip with a price of 299 EUR while also lowering the ride height by 55 mm at the front and 45 mm at the back. This was done using a new suspension coilover from KW with a price tag of 1218 EUR.

As an option, you can also get 20 inch Schmidt Revolution Gambit custom wheels, as long as you are prepared to pay 2599 EUR for them. JMS says that their tuning project for the BMW 3 Series will also include a sport exhaust system and an ECU upgrade. Unfortunately, details on there are yet to be revealed.

The modifications JMS brought to the BMW 3 Series do not really stand out in the crowd so far, and while the ECU and exhaust might hold surprises, I don’t think this one is a real masterpiece.
