The reputation that surrounds them meant this project was destined for success right from the start. This BMW 440i <a href="http://www.bmwcartuning.com/tag/convertible/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Convertible</a> is unique no matter how you look at it. </h2>
<p>Right from the start you can tell this particular BMW 440i Convertible looks much more aggressive than its stock counterpart. The added front and rear bumper modifications, the new kidney grills and the stylish set of rims, all these, contribute to the new look of this particular car. The dark paint completes the package, giving the BMW 440i a classy feel to go along with its aggressive new look. The result is quite impressive.</p>

<p>The B58 engine together with Dahler’s performance tuning stages give the customers plenty of choices when it comes to improving vehicle specs. The first stage grants the BMW 440i Convertible an extra 54HP from the stock 326HP. The second stage raises the HP to 400, while the last stage gives the 440i 415HP. No matter what your choice is, the performance gain is significant in all cases. The car feels more agile. The added exhaust system gives this car the sound it deserves so much, in order to match the sporty look and feel.</p>

<p>The build itself is quite balanced. The new look fits the performance upgrades quite well. The overall feel the car gives is that of a mix between elegance and sportiness. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>Have you ever wondered how a BMW M2 looks like in a convertible styling? If not, then Dahler tuning has envisioned the model with a soft-top just to give us a closer look at a potential version.</h2>
<p>But chances are that such a model won`t surface too soon, as the carmaker has not declared any intentions of creating such a model. Even so, this is a good imagery exercise and must be taken accordingly.</p>
<p>As we can depict from the photos below, the model looks extremely appealing without a hard top, increasing its personality and aggressive look. And that might be the perfect version for young people who really love driving freely with the sky over their heads in the hot summer days.</p>

<p>Overall, the design is borrowed from the BMW M2 Coupe standard model, except for the soft top. Other features that differentiate it from the stock version refers to stainless steel exhaust system, big brakes with 400 millimeter discs, eight-piston calipers as well as adjustable sport suspension with 16 settings. </p>
<p>Besides the gorgeous looks, the BMW M2 Convertible comes as well with two power packages under the hood.</p>
<p>The first power stage adds more power to the car`s engine, meaning 408 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque, providing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, at a topping of 290 km/h. the second stage is even more impressive, providing 425 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque, at a topping if 300 km/h. More than that, the tuner is also working on a new kit, which means installing an upgraded M4 engine instead of the car`s stock mill.</p>

<p>The M3&#8217;s standard 4.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine is a pretty cool proposition and will outperform justa bout any usual request it is faced with.<br />

When you mess around with high end German tuners showing off for the current Essen Motor Show it&#8217;s not even good enough for a base setup.</p>
<p>The guys at Manhart merely chucked it all out and replaced it with chunkier, more modern BMW sourced V8, namely the 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged unit out of the X6 M.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s something that usually provides more than sufficient tork to lug around something weighing in at nearly twice the M3.</p>
<p>Even so, it felt like it wasn&#8217;t enough so the ECU and turbos receive a bit of a going over in order to produce a total of 655 horsepower and 719 lb-ft of torque.</p>
<p>The gearbox and rear diff receive some strengthening in order to handle all that grunt. The ideal is unusual but the removal of the max speed makes it all worth it.</p>

<p>The Manhart MH3 V8 R Biturbo can hit a top speed of 199 mph. It almost certainly can accelerate some way or another but that colossal torque is a problem for launches.</p>

Regardless, the Hamann F13 6 Series Convertible still feels like a proper BMW product. Maybe the German tuner has a secret beyond their usual range.</p>
<p>The interior of any open top car is considerably important and BMW knew this when they came up with the base car. Hamann tuning then went on to refine it without changing too much.</p>

<p>They added some details to the steering wheel, added some custom logos and simply threw in their custom pedal set into the equation.</p>
<p>While there are no performance upgrades available, the promise of getting some from Hamann tuning is going to hold back any specifications.</p>
<p>This is why for example we&#8217;re not getting any Cx numbers on the new body kit, any downforce readings or anything of the likes.</p>

<p>The only numbers we do get are regarding the 21/22 inch alloy wheels, the 30 mm drop in the suspension and the fact that the tires are now 265/295 in thread width.</p>
<p>By the end of the presentation it&#8217;s clear that showoff is all you can do with this car since under the back there&#8217;s four tail pipes hooked up to a stainless steel exhaust.</p>

<p>A nice example here is ATT-TEC Tuning, a company which decide to breathe some extra life into the E93 BMW M3 Convertible.<br />

A dark foil wrap, a lowered suspension and new 20 inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires make for a very aggressive look.</p>
<p>The two tone black, the decals and the point spokes on the wheels make the M3 look very badass, but is it? Well, the standard car isn&#8217;t really.</p>

<p>That&#8217;s why the guys at ATT-TEC went over to G-Power and bought a supercharger kit. That&#8217;s how the 4.0 liter V8 now gets some considerable boost.</p>
<p>Final output for the E93 M3 convertible stands at 520 horsepower which is 100 more than the standard one.</p>
<p>Just to make sure people know the sort of grunt that lies under your bonnet, a sports exhaust kit is also there to make some noise.</p>

<p>You&#8217;re likely to enjoy the sound yourself as well but that&#8217;s another story. As is the price you&#8217;ll have to pay to get one of these ATT-TEC conversions.</p>
<p>The entire kit comes in at roughly 35.000 USD which is the cost of quite the capable second car. You can even get some specially prepped trackday motors for that money.</p>

The exhaust system is basically the same though its adapted between to fit either the V8 or I6 exhaust manifolds. It consists of a stainless steel ensemble with new cats, silencers and mufflers.</p>
<p>With the ECU remap things are a little different. Starting off with the BMW 640d Cabrio, the 3.0 liter twin turbocharged inline six gets the first call.</p>

<p>Power goes up from 313 horsepower to 362. The torque figure also grows up to 538 lb-ft of torque with most of it available as low as 1800 rpm.</p>
<p>The 3.0 liter inline six in the 640i Cabrio gets tuned up from 320 horsepower to 384 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque.</p>
<p>With the top of the line 650i Hartge pumps the 4.4 liter turbocharged V8 by the biggest amount.</p>
<p>Starting with 407 horsepower it now produces 490 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. This version is available with either rear wheel drive or the xDrive option as well.</p>
