It gets its own commercial video and an exterior vinyl wrap which speaks a bit about the company and their knowledge of historic BMW models.

The exterior look is inspired by Frank Stella’s 1976 BMW 3.0 CSL Art Car, except we see a highlight on the tuner’s logo back on the rear fenders.

The new 20 inch forged alloy wheels, help build the look immensely. The thin dark lines seem to be similar to the thin dark “line” the tires draw around them.

All these exterior tweaks don’t speak too much about the way the E92 BMW M3 is called the Blitzkrieg by Active Autowerke. Those who don’t know history need to know two things about that term.

That there is what the definition of fast and deadly is. As far as we know, this particular M3 hasn’t killed anybody yet but there’s a lot of potential.

This is because under the bonnet there’s a Generation 7 Level 3 intercooled supercharger kit a complete Signature Exhaust setup and something called Meth-Injection system.

Hopefully that’s not the drug we’re talking about, but the end result might give you the same amount of shock. The 4.0 liter V8 engine pushes out 700 horsepower.

Not only is that a massive boost over the standard setup, it’s also as smooth as the original powerplant since there’s no question of lag.

Horsepower and torque are always welcome. The tires might not appreciate it but we love it so who cares about tires.

It is a bit of a shame that they’re only taking an interest in the E92 M3 as it’s getting ready to leave the scene and be replaced, but some charming products do appear.

Miami based tuning company, Velos Designwerks, had a proper look around the E92 BMW M3 and found a few areas it could be improved.

The starting place for the changes is unusual for a street tuning company. They started off by fitting Brembo brakes, something a racing team would do.

The E92 BMW M3’s standard suspension is replaced by a lowering kit from KW, the V3, obviously. This is the system which allows lowering and raising of ride height as well as stiffness adjustment.

After that, the American tuner heads for less surprising teritory as the 4.0 liter V8 receives an ESS VT625 supercharger kit.

This system creates so much boost that the powerplant now delivers an extra 200 horsepower. This sort of a difference obviously creates new necessities.

Somehow, Velos Designwerks worked out that we don’t really care about the list of supporting mods and are just happy to look at the new body kit.

Those new carbon fiber bits, together with the dark bronze custom lightweight forged alloy wheels go together beautifully underneath the white paint.

I’d say the Velos Designwerks E92 BMW M3 package came together beautifully. I only wish they said what tires they’re running it on.

The Californian tuner is serving up a cup of Deja Vu, not only in the way they’ve gone round to coming up with this car but as well as in the way they’ve made the photo gallery afterwards.

Looking at them back to back you have to think, are they that tightly wound in their PR department or is their photographer really lacking imagination?

Thankfully, there’s plenty of imagination in the engineering department and from the guys at 3D Design. The body kit they set up here is on the Goldie Locks setting.

It comes in just about right regardless of the BMW you put it on since there’s nothing ostentatious about it. At the same time it manages to stand out and feel special.

Just like the action under the bonnet. A VT2-600 Supercharger with liquid inter-cooling system is fitted, making for a smooth ans comfy power delivery as you’d expect from a cruising BMW.

Once you floor this M3 however you’ll have around 600 horsepower to play with, which does make a difference. Akrapovic gets some of that credit thanks to their Evolution Titanium package.

When it comes to taming all those ponies you’ll be calling upon Brembo 380mm six-piston brakes at the front and four-piston ones for the back.

In between the acceleration and braking, you’ll probably rely on the KW Club Sport coilover system and the Michelin Pilot Supersport tires.

The company is renown for using superchargers to obtain more power from their cars while still maintaining a nice beautiful delivery.

If its smoothness you’re interested in, it has to be a BMW you’re looking at and there’s a good chance at the aging M3 is the likely candidate.

As everybody waits for the F30 to amaze us, there’s a lot of people interested in getting more more and torque out of the E92’s engine.

VF offer a variety of kits but the one they’re announcing today is the VF540 Streetsport package. This is the reasonable price option, the one that provides more power but doesn’t force any major work on the car.

You do get an ECU remap and there’s even some work being done to the throttle but overall we’re looking at a bolt on type of upgrade.

It may be in an unpleasant category but the final result takes the power of the M3 up from 420 horsepower and 295 lb/ft of torque to 540 horsepower and 370 lb/ft of torque.

More than a reasonable gain that obviously come with a loss of some fuel economy levels. At the same time you’re watching that, there’s a loss of $8.295 from your account to get the thing in the first place.

Money well spent, it’s likely given you a car that has more performance in a straight line than the upcoming M3.

They’ve turned the performance up quite a few levels as the G-Power guys don’t mess around when it comes to engines. This is where they really shine.

The German tuner kept the basic engine, the 4.0 liter V8 and then got really wasted and made some substantial changes to the internals.

A new, annoyingly complicated crankshaft was teamed to a set of Mahle pistons. This makes such a substantial difference that the engine now has 4.8 liters.

While they were doing that, the guys at G-Power realized that such an engine could do well with the sort of blow so they fitted their SK III ASA T1-723 supercharger on the top.

Naturally, the intake and exhaust systems had to be updated so they can keep up with the fiery heart under the bonnet.

That bonnet itself has some serious work to do as it needs to keep in place no less than 720 horsepower. Torque is yet to be announced.

I wouldn’t think it’s missing and nor would I think the fuel economy of this beast is going to make anybody happy, not besides your local petrol station owner.

Let’s talk about performance though. 0 to 62 mph takes only 3.7 seconds and the top speed figure is a real Autobahn storming 205 mph.

The pretty big wheels are not the most important performance bits but the Michelin Sport PS2 tires they’re riding on should balance that out.

This one in particular, captured by infamous automotive Youtube account owner Marchettino, is a combination of upgraded bits.

The most important part of the equation here is the supercharger kit. It comes from G-Power tuning but that’s far from making this a specific product.

Teaming up the upgraded supercharge with the 4.0 liter V8 engine in the M3 does more than is immediately apparent. But there’s plenty of changes that usually come with these changes.

As BMW built one of the most spectacular engines available on the market, few of them have to do with the internals. It’s only the auxiliaries that get treated by replacement.

The most important bit of those additions is the brand new titanium exhaust system by Akrapovic that is the lead singer in the video.

Obviously, the 600 horsepower and 427 lb-ft of torque BMW M3 have something to say when it comes to performance but the showboating is what it’s all about.

That incredible soundtrack really puts to shame the standard setup. Which says a lot because in terms of vocal abilities the standard M3 has quite a platinum disks on the wall.

We hear that once the show is over, things can get serious with this supercharged E92 BMW M3 as it can go from 0 to 62 in some 4 seconds and the top speed is on the exciting side of 190 mph.
