It is a sort of a joint venture between AC Schnitzer, 3D Design or Akrapovic, all of them adding their contribution to the car`s project.

For instance, AC Schnitzer has added lots of M Performance Parts to the BMW X6 M, equipping the SUV with its own styling bits. We are looking here at bespoke carbon fiber mirrors, black fenders vents, black kidney grilles, black roof finish or side stripes. Finally, the German tuner has also installed the 23-inch AC1 Forged racing alloy wheels, increasing thus the car`s aggressive attitude. 3D Design completes the scenery with a couple of new mods as well.

As you already probably know, a fine exhaust system could not have missed and this is where Akrapovic tuner sets in, fitting the model with its high-performance Evolution exhaust system which normally increases the car`s power and engine soundtrack.

Inside, the cabin is also refreshed with the new leather on the seats, console, lower dashboard, armrest or door panels, which perfectly contrasts the red stitching surrounding the interior.

Speaking about performance, we are not sure if this BMW X6 M has received any power boost, but we surely know how powerful it is in the stock version.

This means that the BMW X6 M features a 4.4-liter V8 BMW TwinPower Turbo with 567 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds.

The motivation behind building it is roughly the same. Some impressive tuning is capable of changing my mind however. Just like what’s going on in this case.

Supreme Power, an American tuner with a long running collaboration alongside Vorsteiner, has come up with a new package called Evil Knight.

The name sounds cheesy enough to make a bad Batman sequel but it’s actually worth going past the irony. The product underneath leaves no room for such ideas.

This is one badass machine we’re looking at. From heightened coupe with a bit of a lacking direction, the X6 M became a performance monster that looks as if it can hide it.

Now that’s a special trait that is very significant not only for the X6 M, but also for every BMW product. In this form, something is hidden.

The shapes look less aggressive, even though there’s Vorsteiner stamped carbon fiber everywhere. In this form it looks like a cruiser.

Its KW V3 coilovers keep the 21 inch alloys in check and the entire stance effect is further accentuated by the black paint used to cover its new body.

I liked the collaboration Supreme Power had with Vorsteiner in order to come up with the E70 BMW X5 M but this one I simply love.

The working together project is so much better than anything that came before that I didn’t even feel the need to mention the pumped up exhaust system.

As far as our memory serves us, the E71 BMW X6 hasn’t been their favorite toy to play around with. In preparation for the Essen Motor Show they worked over the unusual X6.

Since the show’s popularity has wildly expanded over the recent years, this may not be a good way round to go and unveil your tweak on the SAC.

After all, it’s the place where other tuning companies from Germany or the world all over will showcase some incredibly high performing versions of the M powered X6.

You wouldn’t want to compete against that. To some degree, Manhart Racing are on the same page with that decision. They didn’t go alongside predictable lines.

They did not opt for a higher powered X6M. They did not fit sports suspension that’s basically rock solid and nor did they fit a bulging body kit.

Instead, they completely trolled those expecting a million horsepower X6M as they allied with the Germans from Wuppertal to creat the Dirt Edition.

Once you hear the name the appearance becomes less surprising. The car itself, the E71 X6 M remains standard, apart from the wheel setup.

Off-road tires and wheels go on, as do some extended mud guards. Just to keep the trolling effect going, a new vinyl wrap goes on.

It now genuinely looks like some of the toys I had as a kid since it has the US Army symbol on it.

The M division prepped version is also a big hit with the specialist tuner so it is pretty much impossible to ignore. The basic cars may be related, but the AC Schnitzer makeovers seem to be completely different.

There’s a generally familiar look but the details are much more focused on this version. The X6 M doesn’t have the Falcon’s compromised exterior.

Everything here is styled as form dictates in order to achieve the best type of performance and aerodynamic efficiency. The paint and alloy wheels sum up what you can specify in terms of looks.

AC Schnitzer have setup the car for a blistering performance by revising the aerodynamics, the suspension setups and so on yet they aren’t ready to tell us what’s in store with the engine.

The S63 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been out for quite a while now and we thought they had sufficient time to produce a remarkably fast car by now.

We’re willing to cut them some slack because of the recent performance they managed in the 2012 DTM season but as that’s over now they should chop to it.

It’s not like the X6 is an unpopular car and it’s certainly not that the X6 M is the sort of car that rich punters don’t want to have one that’s faster and more aggressive looking.

What would probably impress me was if I got to see one of the Hamann tuned versions on the road. Unfortunately, I’ve not been so lucky.

Those who have didn’t miss out on the opportunity to ring out the video recorders so they can share the moment with the rest of us.

A video of such a car isn’t as impressive as the real thing but in the absence of that real thing it manages to fill the gap nicely.

This particular example was seen parked in front of the Mall of Emirates, a very popular place for such exotic material in the Middle East.

Thankfully, it’s not just a static display we’re dealing with, by the end, the lucky youtuber managed to see the car drive away and even give him a roar of acceleration.

Boy does that 670 horsepower, 576 lb-ft of torque, twin turbocharged, 4.4 liter V8 sound good when pushed. And that was just second gear acceleration, imagine what it sounds at high speeds.

I have to say though, of all the possible color choices available, red isn’t particularly interesting on this car. On the other hand, the aggression factor does well by this paint scheme.

Nothing says bad like red and black. Even if the black is carbon fiber. That’s actually even better for the street racing types.

It seemed to have the appropriate color, but there’s something slightly different in this equation. The size and… bulk of the BMW X6 M make it much more fitting for the super soldier.

The sort of power that’s under the bonnet of the BMW X6 M also strikes us as considerably more Hulk-like than the screaming straight six of the small coupe.

Even though both engines are turbocharged, the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 produces some seriously impressive figures.

With 555 horsepower ready at 6000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque available between 1500 and 5650 rpm, there are moments when the powerplant feels strong enough to take tanks apart.

In the mind of a certain Russian BMW owner, the most important thing you can do with a BMW X6 M is show it off. Kind of hard to disagree with it.

What is a lot easier to dismiss is the lowered ride height and the two tone paint. The dark chrome green paint is more than acceptable.

On the other hand, the black painted roof and bonnet feel considerably tacky. The mix looks so bad that not even the 21 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels can save it.

Thankfully, the Russian tuning school still is big on tinted windows therefore you can hide yourself when sitting in traffic in such an embarrassing SAV.

Actually, some people need it to be outrageously tuned by the Germans at Hamann and even then they consider the Tycoon Evo kit to be unsatisfactory.

This is where the option for the Supreme package is ticked. What this means is that you get one massive change to the package that may seem superficial.

It all goes down to an added gold foil wrap for the exterior finish, some added carbon fiber details and some obviously necessary gold painted wheels.

That’s obviously something necessary but only because you wouldn’t want to ruin the color coordination of the final look would you?

Underneath the new and outrageous exterior, Hamann haven’t fitted anything new to the engine, suspension setup, braking kit or anything else that might affect the performance.

Still, the Tycoon Evo kit comes with enough punch not to need the extra tuning. After all, when you’ll attempt to race anybody they’ll probably be too busy laughing.

If he can control himself and keep on being focused on the lights he’ll need to be ready to face off the 4.4 liter V8 with twin-turbo goodness which develops 670 horsepower.

As a result, the BMW X6 M Hamann Supreme can get all of its gold and carbon fiber looking SAV body to go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds.

Once again, they’re giving the BMW X6 and the BMW X6 M all the attention with a new setup of rollers that can be specified regardless of model used.

We’re not sure if the new paint coat has anything to do with the new Schmidt Revolution wheels but the Germans have managed to once again mix them up properly.

This time, the look has nothing to do with the glitz of the Rhino package but the matte finish will certainly grab its fans along the way.

Getting to the core of the problem; Schimdt Revolution tell us we’re dealing with a set of alloys from their CC-Line that are painted in something called textured grey.

The shade isn’t very relevant since it’s hard to follow or identify from most angles. What is easy to tell is the new sizes and the fresh design.

Multi-spoke wheels still look great on big, bloated vehicles like the BMW X6 and the 22 inch proposition is still decently proportioned to the rest of the car.

Naturally, new wheels also means there’s a new set of tires to consider. In this case, Schimdt Revolution doesn’t shell out too many details but we do know they’re pretty big.

The rubber made garden rollers are 275 mm wide at the front and some 315 for the rear ones.

All great efforts but the thing is, history’s tendency to repeat itself must never be something neglected because there’s very important lessons back there.

I’ll bring up a relevant example, the BMW X6 M Mansory created back when the original version of the car was introduced.

Now that the Bavarians have revised the BMW X6 M’s standard version, the Swiss tuner will hopefully stay away and not horrify it with a followup.

The performance levels are not the problem. As almost always with Mansory, the looks are the main concern of tuning such a vehicle.

A mundane two-tone black and white paint job, a hugely opened up front end, vents everywhere, enormous 23 inch wheels and garden roller 315 mm wide tires.

All of these details are found on the Mansory BMW X6 M and none of them work with the other. Even though some of them might not be so bad on their own.

The interior and performance options are, thankfully, much better. You can spec up the interior with stuff like Alcantara, wood or aluminium trim or carbon fiber.

And under the bonnet, the BMW X6 M that Mansory prepped had the same 4.4 liter V8 engine with its twin-turbo kit turned up.

The end result was a power output of 670 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. That meant 0 to 62 happened in 4.2 seconds and the top speed went up to 186 mph.

The ethics of this entire industry can be quite unpleasant at times. But then again, it can also be the source of incredibly fun machinery.

Schmidt Revolution aren’t here to change the industry, to move it forward or even to preach us about all the ethics stuff I’ve waltzed by.

They’re here to show us just how much of an effect a set of well chosen wheels can make on a car’s look and how to enhance it even further.

The German custom wheel maker will fit the BMW X6, or even the quicker BMW X6 M version with with a new set of rollers and a fresh lick of paint.

Here’s the new setup those Rhino line wheels use: 10Jx22-inch at the front and and 11Jx22-inch at the back. They’re mated to 275/35 and 315/30 (!) tires.

Those rears will probably stick the power down in a drag racer, let alone the damp punches that come from a BMW SAV.

Oh and as if the Rhino branding of the wheels didn’t impress you, they painted the X6 in a special color which reminds us of the big animal.

So what are you getting after all is done? Well, you’re still reminded that you have a heavy bear of a car. The difference however is that now it actually looks like a huggable Teddy.
