Whenever I hear about a BMW getting tuned, I can’t help but think that it will be another 3-Series. And if not, at least a sedan from the BMW range.
It is rarely that I see a bigger, X-“number” BMW that got modified. Even rarer is one that is actually good.
So here is a nice one from Precision Sport Industries. A 2010 BMW X5 M coated with a nice Saphire Black paint, and leather interior courtesy of Silverstone.
The X5 M project encompasses many known aftermarket specialists, each bringing something to the table. Active Autowerke brings a performance upgrade and downpipes, the Catless model. From Eisenmann PSI installed a race muffler, while the 22 inch wheels were provided by ADV.1. Some lowering springs were also added, H&R make, improving on the overall ride dynamics.
It is a nice car, with little alteration on the appearance. And as much as I like a more aggressive look on a car, I think that BMW makes their vehicles already quite appealing. So I can always appreciate a tuning that involves performance, cause that is what will give you the thrills, not strangers gawking at your “pimpin” ride.
