The Vossen Wheels tuner division is perhaps one of the most iconic aftermarket shops from the entire wheeling business, the tuner managing to wrap a lot of BMW models with extraordinary and high-performance set of wheels, which provide its models with greater stance on the roads.
And today we also have the pleasure and the honor of seeing the BMW i8, the carmaker`s first plug-in hybrid version and the winner of the 2015 Engine of the Year Award, wearing the gorgeous Forged VPS-309 set of wheels.
The forged VPS-309 wheels are extremely light and provide this BMW i8 with a unique look and extraordinary stance, given the fact that the plug-in hybrid was also lowered, with the new lowering springs. The Vossen Wheels Tuning has also released some photos with this complete BMW i8.
No mods have been carried out under the hood, this BMW i8 packing the same 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, with 231 horsepower being delivered to the rear wheels, while the electric motor that backs it, provides an additional 131 horsepower, sent to the front wheels. The BMW i8 is also coming with a 35 km mile range, at a topping of 120 km/h.
