However, doped with aftermarket parts from well-known tuning companies, the BMW 7-Series in both short and long wheelbase become the peak of perfectness. One such example of fine art is, in my opinion, the 7-Series presented below in just a couple of phots, and wearing the outstanding Black Bison package from no other than Japanese tuner Wald International.

The Black Bison program is not new, in fact is the tuner`s most impressive program, also seen on other BMW models in the last couple of years. In this case, it is the car`s standard shape and design language that makes it such a perfect candidate for the Black Bison package.

While underneath the skin the power and torque stays pretty much the same, at the exterior, the 7-Series looks completely changed with a mind-blowing body kit and massive alloy wheels.

We are dealing here with new front bumper with small faux air intakes, adding as well vertical daytime running lights, updated chin spoiler, bespoke side skirts and impressive wheels. At the rear, you can also observe the new bumper with aggressive diffuser and quad tailpipes.

Also, the one-off air vents or grilles, along with the new and lowered suspension system provide the luxury sedan with a more aggressive attitude and appealing character.

Besides the aforementioned characteristics, the engineers from Wald International tuning company can also add some adjustments according to your own needs. The program below, for instance, also received blacked-out grilles, some gloss black trims on the bumpers, as well as massive wheels which perfectly complement the car`s blacked-out roof.

The latest “star” to arrive at BMW Abu Dhabi Motors is the 2017 760Li xDrive seen below and wearing the exotic body wrap; it also tweaks body parts from BMW Individual. It has recently arrived and is perhaps looking for a new owner.

What makes it quite unique and stand-out is the appealing Long Beach Blue exterior wrap, carbon fiber components from both BMW Individual and 3D Design tuner, one-off set of wheels and enhanced interior with the finest materials and leather upholstery.

Besides the paintjob, the 2017 BMW 760Li xDrive displayed at Abu Dhabi Motors also stands out from the crowd with the M Performance trunk lid spoiler, carbon fiber mirror covers or the 21-inch Multi Spoke 629 Wheel in Liquid Black. All these characteristics enhance the car`s overall look and provide a more aggressive attitude.

Inside, the cabin welcomes you with the Individual treatment as well, adding plenty of high-tech gizmos and equipment that can be thoroughly detailed in the video below.

As for the car`s performance, the 2017 M760Li xDrive stays true to its massive 6.6-liter M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol burner, churning out no less than 610 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 800 Nm of torque, at just 1,550 rpm. It enables a standstill to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.7 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h. Speaking of top speed, this can be raised to 305 km/h if the luxury sedan is fitted with the optional M Driver`s Package.

After the arrival of the BMW 740Le with M Sport Package, BMW dealership has also welcomed an astonishing M760Li xDrive, fitted with the Individual package and wrapped in the famous Austin Yellow colour.

What sets this model apart the standard form is the Individual package, which makes it more appealing and more attractive. However, this lad seen in the media gallery bellow also comes with some new styling elements from 3D Design, like add-ons around the sides.

It also adds the boot lid spoiler from Alpina and the 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in Liquid Black. Inside, the cabin is also tweaked with Alcantara/leather upholstery on the seats and dashboard, custom floor mats and a few more.

Overall, the car`s visuals resemble the ones seen on the 740Le with M Sport Package arriving in Abu Dhabi as well a couple of weeks ago. This particular variant also came with carbon fiber mirror covers or 21-inch M Performance wheels.

Performance wise, the BMW 7-Series 760Li xDrive comes standard with a massive 6.6-liter V12 engine, developing a mind-blowing 610 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, before reaching a total of 250 km/h. Also, if you get to opt for the M Driver`s Package, you can have its speed limited removed for a total of 305 km/h.

There aren`t many tuning programs added to the new 7-Series so far, with just a handful of aftermarket shops adding just a couple of updates here and there, and that is because we are dealing with an extremely luxurious model which needs no exterior customizations.

However, if you fit it with some cool new wheels, the 2016 BMW 7-Series can turn into a real mean looker, and the best example to see such a fine specimen, is the 750i below, which is now on a photo session with the new V-FF wheels from Vorsteiner.

The German technicians from Vorsteiner aftermarket shop are well-known for their BMW customizations, especially if these involve the new wheels added to their wheel lineup. And the latest involve the V-FF 107 FlowForged wheels, also seen on models like the M2, M3 or the M4.

The wheels measure 22 x 9 and 22 x 10.5 front and rear, and come with the Carbon Graphite finish, which add increase aggressive look and greater instance. The imposing character is also highlighted by the car`s stock evolutionary design.

As for the exterior, the technicians decided to leave it intact. The same thing happened to the car`s engine. We are looking here at the same 4.4-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo V8 engine with a staggering 445 horsepower. This enables the 540i to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h.

MotorTrend’s Carlos Lago took to the track and road behind the wheel of the big sedan to find out what’s what. The result is mixed.

As you’ll get to find out by watching the clip, he liked the car but it’s not really a flat out victory, more of a managed success.

The well known car reviewer starts out at the track and gives us what we really want to see. It’s a F01 Alpina B7 version of the BMW 750i going sideways.

That’ll likely be something that absolutely nobody would want to do with their own car. Not because it’s not fun but because who’d buy an enormous limo for drifting purposes?

Anyway, MT’s man had his share of fun and delight in the confined environment of speed and general unusual behavior.

When he takes things the B7 to the road, things start to shake. We’d all expect it to be incredible on the road and fine on the track.

Remarkably, it seems that things are edging the other way around. The drive is just as pleasant and you can have nearly as much fun with it but you do feel something about the car in a more obvious way.

The weight figure which comes in at well over two tones can’t be ignored. At the track, the clever tech does manage to compensate for it.

On the open road, the need for extra comfort seems to give it away. Still, I’d love to have one, particularly in this color.

On some of the occasions, more than I’d like to admit actually, the tuning we get to see for the most luxurious BMW goes wrong.

Fortunately, this isn’t the case. This has been done right and it sort of had to be so since it was done by one of our favorite wheel makers.

It’s once again the guys at Vossen who’ve decided to use a BMW model to show off their massive wheels in a very fashionable… erm… fashion.

Matte graphite CV3 rollers are showcased here and since the F01 BMW 7 Series is a car that wears its sizable dimensions well, the wheels are proportional.

22 inches front and back, with varying width at 9 inches for the front and 10.5 for the rears. While we’d love to say the wheels were designed for the 7 Series, things seem a little different here.

It looks as if the car was selected by the photographer, matte gray color included, in order to showoff the best of these new wheels.

That makes for a pretty set of pictures and the editing they got by the end seems to make that window tint appear almost solid from the outside.

Even so, you must admit you want to drive a car like this or at least want to be seen in it.

The German tuner introduced their version of the luxury land barge that never really feels like such a thing at a track day.

Not only that, they’ve done so at a track that’s infamous for some serious G force pushing thanks to the incredible Corkscrew corner.

The Alpina B7 may still be using the twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 engine from BMW but there’s a few changes the tuner puts in.

Having 540 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque on tap is amazing but the way that engine churns out those figures is what really matters.

Apparently the car pulls even more like a train than the standard car. Further more, it seems that driving a car that weighs more two tons around Laguna Seca doesn’t feel like it.

Saying it handles like a 3 Series is probably pushing it a bit too much but having the handling abilities of the F10 5 Series is nothing if not divine in something like this.

Overall, it’s obvious, nobody was disappointed with the newly introduced Alpina B7 and that’s before we even get to the talk about comfort.

It’s not like the 7 Series suffers in this aspect but Alpina make it even more soothing despite using larger wheels and different tires.

There’s plenty of stuff you can fight against, even taking an Alpina B7 to a track, but let’s face it, when you have the finances to get yourself a near 200 mph limo you can do whatever you want.

It is only now that they’ve made the 2013 Alpina B7’s model pricing available. The model is available in four trims with rear or all wheel drive.

All versions of the car are based on the BMW 750i and come with the same 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that’s the base for most M powered cars these days.

In the 2013 Alpina B7 the motor has been tweaked to an output of 540 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. The power figure may have gone up but the gearbox is the same.

You’ll be relying on the same eight speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission as before since it can apparently take the extra grunt just fine.

On the serious decision and choice front you’ll have to tick some boxes on the Alpina order form and find out if you want the short or long wheelbase version of the car.

The xDrive all wheel drive version is now ever more popular with luxury cars so that’s going to be a tricky decision as well.

Before all these decisions are made, you’ll have to figure out if you can manage to swing the asking price around.

Alpina will be charging $128.495 for a standard B7 and 131.495 for one with xDrive. Move up market to the stretched version and the price starts at 132.395 USD.

Finally, the top of the line long wheelbase model with the added comfort of all whee drive will set you back 135.395 USD.

For example, the BMW 7 Series, for all its plus points, being small and cutting the air cleanly isn’t exactly in its spec sheet.

It doesn’t seem to matter. Vorsteiner have a kit for it and now that they’ve updated their package for it.

Why? Because BMW updated the F01 model’s appearance with a microscopic facelift which, among others, included some changes to the front end.

As the Americans raged at the idea, they’ve decided to cut back on the aggression front and improve upon the refinement.

Right now, the final list of the Vorsteiner VR-7 Sportiv Aero is limited to an Add-On Front Spoiler, a new Add-On Rear Spoiler and a fully functional rear diffuser.

Vorsteiner maintain their efforts for efficiency and their passion for carbon fiber so they’ve made all of these bits from the fabled materials.

Naturally, the options list for Vorsteiner’s take on the BMW 7 Series includes some new 21 inch alloy wheels, some custom floor mat and a new paint scheme.

Frankly, I’d shy away from all of them as the mats can be unusually pricey (even for a 7 Series) and the wheels and paint make the car look too… sporty.

The rest of the bits however contribute to the high speed stability nicely so if you know you do a lot of such cruising you might be interested in them.

After specialist German tuner Alpina took the 7 Series and turned into their B7 model, some people considered it not to be enough.

These would be the people at Tunerworks who felt a touch-up was just enough to update the Alpina B7 to something a whole lot less “common”.

The changes they made aren’t really that impressive. Nothing was done to the engine and nothing changed about the interior.

After that, Tunerworks got down to business and fit the Alpina B7 with a new suspension kit and updated alloy wheels.

There’s plenty of people who are interested in the Alpina B7 but don’t really like the traditional alloys the company fits but the suspension may not be such a smart idea.

For one, Tunerworks actually used H&R suspension package which isn’t exactly well known for the softness of its ride.

That, alongside the lowered ride height might make it a rather uncomfortable day out. That’s not something you want from a large luxury sedan like the 7 Series.

The 22 inch ADV10 Deep Concave wheels also seem a little unfitting for such a car. They’d probably feel more at home on a 3 Series or other sporty models.

Maybe I’m out of place or maybe Tunerworks actually made a mistake in taking on the Alpina B7 with their tweaking decision.

We’re all entitled to some, so maybe we’ll see them do better work next time.
