Their project took a BMW 135i M and turned up the power, while also doodling a bit on the surface.

The 135i, most like pretty much any other Bimmer out there, is not a car that lacks in performance, or at least driving pleasure, but that doesn’t mean it is giving it its all. So the guys from Dahler went on and fiddled with the 3 liter engine, making it capable of producing 360 Hp and 540 Nm of torque.

The numbers make for an acceleration time to 100 km/h of just 4.5 seconds, which is pretty decent considering the normal 8 speed automatic transmission. As for the aesthetics of the car, we don’t get too much, really, and the aftermarket specialist was a bit withholding with the pictures. Apart from what you can glance from the one photo, your guess is as good as mine.

Still, the performance upgrade itself is enough to give this project a green light and recommend it to any takers.

Dubbed the Raze, said 1M was an amazing aftermarket build, with great emphasis on the exhaust sound.

In a recent press release, the tinkers of Revozport announced the new Raze GT, a step up from the previous version, as the GT name tends to suggest. While full specs and video/audio or even decent photos have yet to be revealed, we did get a preview photo, just enough to satisfy us until it is completed.

The new Raze GT will be 30 mm wider, will sport a huge rear wing and a new diffuser. there is also great news for the E82 BMW 1M owners, as they will be able to use the new Raze GT kit as well, if they have managed to abstain from purchasing the first one. We will be eagerly awaiting some footage of what we hope to be a kit just as mad sounding as the last.

Still, the owner of the next E82 BMW 1M knows how to put the vehicle to good use, taking to the rough roads of rallying.

After BMW’s M division got done with the 1M, it was a performance beast worthy to take on several rally stages with the simple addition of safety features. But for the true experience, the owner of this particular one decided to take it to the next level.

Besides the mandatory rollcage, the Bimmer saw new cylinders from the E45 engine, a new 6 speed sequential transmission, new brake discs 360 mm wide, 6 piston calipers for the front and 330 mm rotors for the rear. The engine was also upgraded with a KMS ECU, while shock absorbers were provided by Proflex. The custom wheels come from Speedline and were draped in Kumho tires.

As a special treat, you get to see the E82 BMW 1M spit fire out the exhaust in one of its rally runs. Enjoy.

But there are some tuning projects out there that make even me desire a vehicle like that. And for all the improvements Tuningwerk applied on the M135i, this particular version doesn’t do it for me.

In the standard form, the BMW M135i is able to produce 355 Hp. After installing a new turbo, the in line six cyclinder engine now produces 445 Hp. To keep the power steady, especially on the bends, Tuningwerk also installed a limited slip differential.

Drive stability was also improved by the addition of triple adjustable KW Clubsport suspension system. The brakes were updated to BMW Performance, with some personal touches from Tuningwerk. For those that went with manual transmission, the aftermarket specialist also offers two choices of flywheels. Depending on your needs, you can shave either 2 kg or 4.5 kg off the part.

As for the interior, Tuningwerk didn’t really bother too much, with only new seats from Recaro installed and a rollcage.

But is this just another tuning kit or will it shine? This is for each one to figure out.

On the outside, they went with matte grey color, but instead of painting the body panels, they applied foil wraps. Afterwards they put the 1 Series M atop 20 inch Bavaria BC5 Concave wheels which they dyed blue for effect. They also installed an Alpha-N diffuser, a Bilstein suspension and a trunk mounted spoiler.

Under the hood, Leib Engineering went with an optimized ECU for the 3.0 liter twin turbo engine, and also installed a new exhaust system from Supersprint. This makes for a power output of 400 Hp and 560 Nm of torque.

For even more power, the tuner can offer any takers larger turbochargers, a “suction system” and reworked cooling and exhaust systems. They say that with this build the BMW 1 Series M will reach and go beyond the 500 Hp, 600 Nm mark.
