The American car was one bad ass piece of engineering and the company that’s making it was so thrilled at its success that they’re making an amazing follow-up.

So then, what’s Ultimate Aero in our story and what on Earth could the hypercar maker have to do with the idea of tuning a BMW?

Nothing really. While the name of the product SSC are famous for is the same as the American tuning company’s that’s been tuning the F10 BMW M5, the two have nothing in common.

These Ultimate Aero guys are not bothered about the extreme speed and performance aspects that only video games would allow for.

They seem to be more interested in the eye candy aspect. They’ve just focused on the looks of this M5 and put it on the spot, just like us.

We’re on the spot because we don’t have any information on how the actual exterior color was achieved here. It could be a multi-layered clear coat effect or simply custom wrap.

Either way, the exterior of the Ultimate Aero F10 BMW M5 looks as if black was painted in liquid glass and has Need For Speed worthy reflections.

Once that’s done with, they tend to paint some other details in black such as the wheels, the grilles, the side vents, the window tints and the exhaust tips.

While everything does sound like the company is actually based in China since the first name seems to be French for Studio.

Anyway, it’s not the branding that we’re so bothered about and the car, a BMW 1 Series M Coupe actually seems to be considerably important.

With the new exterior tweaks, everything about the BMW 1 Series M Coupe seems to follow in the path of its bigger brother.

It only seems natural that the BMW M3 is something to follow up to when you’re the smallest brother of the M division family.

The tuner didn’t really aim to keep up with the BMW M3 at any rate but actually wanted to target one of the high end models, particularly the M3 GTS.

At the moment we’re only looking at an exterior set of mods and an updated paint scheme. Otherwise the technical stuff is standard.

The orange paint and black details hide off a new rear wing, slightly different bumpers and upgraded spiltter and vented hood.

There’s no plan at this point to fit it with the 4.4 liter monster the GTS has but we do know from a certain Egyptian project that a V8 will fit under its bonnet.

At the moment I’m not a big fan of the Studie AG Japan BMW 1M Coupe right now but it does have the potential to get somewhere very interesting.

The people who actually work on the tuning packages they create haven’t spent a moment on thinking about the name and instead had a go at changing the BMW Z4.

Changing may actually be to strong a word for the circumstance, the changes going on in the brand might seem more substantial than the Z4 tune’s changes.

There are now performance changes. As far as we know there are no interior changes either. There aren’t even any new toys to consider.

In fact, SR Auto have taken a lesson from the neglect BMW have been given the Z4 and updated it with a couple of minimalist changes to the exterior.

Last time BMW had a go, they offered new colors for the convertible hardtop. SR Auto, on the other hand, have created a new option for you with the whole paint job and the wheels.

You can now have it in a Black that’s not matte yet seems to absorb the light around it with ease and a new set of two tone alloys.

These are 20 inch rims with a CEC C882 design that have been painted (powder coated?) in Vibrant Red and Gunmetal Silver.

It’s quite the nice effect but we honestly thing there are still plenty of tweaks the tuning world can offer the BMW Z4.

Truth be told, I’m not sure which ones they are and I couldn’t really care since the images we have here don’t just star a custom BMW M3.

They star a hot E92 getting hotter as it’s hooned about in front of a camera in all of its Matte Red finish and black details beauty.

Who did the matte red? Is it a paint or vinyl wrap job? Who provided the can of black paint needed for details like the alloy wheels?

I’m not sure you’re paying attention to what I’m saying here. Those are mere details and don’t really matter right now.

The important thing is that a Canadian photographer called George Bucur managed to capture the essence of fun in owning such a car without putting people at risk.

It’s not eve a closed off private track that’s being used for the event. Everything seems to have taken place at some sort of industrial park.

Love the smokey back end shots, love the one near the water reservoir but hate one thing about this particular custom E92 BMW M3.

Why on earth would you black out the rear lights? That, to me, is the most questionable kind of tuning ever and it strikes me more to know there are now window tints.

So you’re not sure about the visibility you have in traffic but you’re almost certain to hamper the one of other road users…

The ethics of this entire industry can be quite unpleasant at times. But then again, it can also be the source of incredibly fun machinery.

Schmidt Revolution aren’t here to change the industry, to move it forward or even to preach us about all the ethics stuff I’ve waltzed by.

They’re here to show us just how much of an effect a set of well chosen wheels can make on a car’s look and how to enhance it even further.

The German custom wheel maker will fit the BMW X6, or even the quicker BMW X6 M version with with a new set of rollers and a fresh lick of paint.

Here’s the new setup those Rhino line wheels use: 10Jx22-inch at the front and and 11Jx22-inch at the back. They’re mated to 275/35 and 315/30 (!) tires.

Those rears will probably stick the power down in a drag racer, let alone the damp punches that come from a BMW SAV.

Oh and as if the Rhino branding of the wheels didn’t impress you, they painted the X6 in a special color which reminds us of the big animal.

So what are you getting after all is done? Well, you’re still reminded that you have a heavy bear of a car. The difference however is that now it actually looks like a huggable Teddy.
