It’s very easy to take pot shots at BMW owners or at tuning enthusiasts. We can only blame those who do it wrong, after all, there are so many brilliant examples to talk about.
Stuff like Precision Sport Industries’ new E92 BMW M3 project car. It brings together some of the most interesting bits of technology ever made to be used on it.
That’s the stuff of dreams and with names like G-Power, Eibach and Akrapovic mixed into the discussion, it’s quickly becoming a petrolhead’s wet one.
Here’s the starter, the 4.0 liter V8 engine is no longer a naturally aspirated unit. It receives some good old fashioned mechanical force feeding.
A G-Power SKII CS supercharger kit is stuck on top of this powerhouse in order to lift the output up to a nice and round 600 horsepower.
In order to keep all that power in check, some refinement needed to be done but not as much as you’d expect. The mill rolling out the factory is quite the capable one.
The Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System complements the output but has a massive impact on the sound as well. That much grunt cannot go unnoticed, right?
With the aesthetics looking beautifully discrete, the only clue of the masterful work behind the scenes here is the set of G-Power 20 inch Silverstone wheels.
These are connected to Eibach Race Springs which minimally alter the stance of the car but properly improve the handling to a level where it can tame the extra power.
