Hamann has introduced new updates to the M sport package for the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, a “facelift” of the first part tuning part by Hamann which was created at the first appearance of BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe.

Hamann has added a new design for the M Sport Package of BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, a special rear diffuser for quad exhaust, a new front bumper which is ground lowered and many other modifications.

This is how and where the tuning companies and enthusiasts come into play and they begin to open yet more ideas of enchantment.

Velos Designwerks have a special treat for us in the form of a special tuning package that really brings the 650i Gran Coupe closer to the streets.

Let’s face it, even though it’s an expensive BMW sedan, it’s had more to do with the Fast and Furious franchise than it has with the Wall Street movies.

Now that a tuning company finally got round to modifying it, the street presence is much more up to spec. It’s not like the young go getting guy was fired.

It’s like he quit his job and he found his college hoodie to jog around in as he figures things out. There’s a lot of expectation and some pressure, but he’s just the kind of guy who can wing it.

Oh yeah, we were talking about a BMW. It got a new bonnet design, a set of lowering springs, lightweight SOLO X forged wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Add a very cool looking silver paint and some extra performance courtesy of an ECU remap and you’ve got yourself quite the treat.

All these changes have given our “boy” a bit of a rakish look and perhaps a more threatening presence than any PR people would encourage. Which makes it even more interesting.

The model used for this particular launch is a 640i. As usual with this company, the performance aspect is not the most important in the mix.

What is important is that on this occasion, aside from introducing a variety of photos with the alloys they’re preparing for the 640i, there’s also a video.

There’s a nice city backdrop, with varying weather, for the still shots and then there’s a bit of highway driving footage mixed in as well.

A set of 22 inch rollers can usually be considered as a total inconvenience when moving but the ones in this scene are portrayed as if they’re almost usable.

Stunning, it’s probably the simplest way to describe their VVS-CV3 Matte Black machined 22 inch alloys. I’m fairly confident the car’s stance also helps.

Not only does the 6 Series Gran Coupe have a well thought out presence on the road, in this case a custom H&R suspension kit was employed to make the best of the situation visible.

I’m also not sure about the way the tinted windows on this car. Perhaps there’s some foil action or maybe there’s some effects work.

After all, I know the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe doesn’t have the biggest greenhouse around but it seems like it gets a little too dark for normal lighting conditions.

This was actually tipped off by the headlamps which don’t seem to light up properly.

They really care about presentation and they want to showoff not only what they’re making, but what car their products are actually going on.

We’ve seen them unveil quite a few of their products alongside the lovely BMW models we’re fans of and they’ve all struck a cord.

It may be because this time, the car used is one of the best looking models in BMW’s history and certainly the best four door they currently make.

What I’m talking about is the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. It’s a model that swaps out the standard rollers for brand new 22 inch CV3 concave rims.

Vossen haven’t exactly reinvented the wheel here but they did addapt them to the 6 Series Gran Coupe. Precise dimensions of 22×9 for the front and 22×10.5 inches for the rear speak bundles.

The five spoke design looks as sporty as it ever did and the black trimming around it does nothing but accentuate the same appearance.

The inner freak show inside me does worry. It’s mostly because in the same way that you can’t see the black trim, you can’t really see the tires.

I’m assured they’re there and the idea of floating wheels doesn’t quite stack up, but what’s there doesn’t appear to be tires.

It all just seems like plastic tires you can get on toy cars. You know the kind, the sort which really crashes about even on a grain of dust.

You need to keep a sense of reality, you need to be aware of yourself and get your priorities sorted. It is not socially acceptable to mix such ideas.

But what if you chose to not give a damn about society? You had what you want in trade for friends, approval of colleagues and tires which aren’t flat every time you park.

Quite the conundrum but if you’re faced with it, you’re very likely to end up contacting Hamann Motorsport to sort you out. They’ve officially unveiled a new package almost custom designed for you.

Actually it is custom designed but it is specifically tailored to your, less than natural needs. The F12 BMW 6 Series, M Sport included, gets a bit of a touch up.

The lower body kit is redesigned as an addon package for both bumpers and the side skirts. A small boot lid spoiler is also fitted.

Further highlighting the fact that you’re outside “the law” are the new 20 or 21 inch sized alloy wheels. Their multi-spoke design is stunning from whatever angle you admire it.

The new suspension which implies a 30 mm drop in ride height might also help that aspect. Inside the car Hamann chose carbon fibre for the dashboard, handles and console, aluminium for the pedals and velour for the floor mats.

Pricing I’m afraid is not available yet. Even though the package is quite a good looking one, there’s not really that much work gone into it so costs should be “decent”.

As their name suggests, these fellas don’t really get too bothered about fitting ostrich skin on the upholstery or tinted windows.

In keeping with the stereotype we all have build up around the Germans, Manhart Racing stuck to the important serious bits of the tuning process.

Their take on the four wheel drive version of the V8 powered BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe gets engine upgrades, chassis tweaks and braking improvements first of all.

Some minor tweaks to the bumpers, the skirts and the exhaust tips tell us just how serious they are. They didn’t even change anything about the looks that wasn’t very low down on the car anyway.

Under the bonnet, its 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine goes from 450 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque to a much beefier 543 / 538.

The change is achieved by punching up the boost levels and so the exhaust system itself needed a lot more work in order to keep everything top notch.

Now that acceleration and speed has been tweaked, it only felt natural for the tuner to give the braking system a serious upgrade.

This is why the used the F10 BMW M5 brake package, albeit with a few modifications and then fitted the M Division’s 20 inch wheels around them.

Finally, the chassis receives a bit of sharpening up with an adaptation package from MHR. All that acceleration and braking will bring about some more stress to the entire thing so it had to be dealt with somehow.

It’s a striking sort of thing, the likes of which you wouldn’t really expect to see from a German tuner. This is something you’d actually see in their porn.

Perversion jokes aside, we hear Unicate Germany is actually a division of a well more respected company from the fatherland, namely MEC Design.

There’s something about the car that just can’t be ignored and that’s the chrome wrap it has been given which is, well, pink.

Before we start panicking, that is a customer request, not something the guys at Unicate Germany don’t really advertise for their product.

They want to appreciate the more substantial changes they’ve implemented. This is where they want us to appreciate ConDeni Ultimo 22 inch alloy wheels.

Those massive rollers are, unbelievably, wrapped in rubber which comes in the following dimensions 255/30/22. Due to the outrageous changes, some adaptations were needed.

A couple sets of spacers were used, 25 mm at the front and 40 mm at the rear. This probably compromises handling, but who cares about it when you’ve got this much bling?

We don’t approve of ruining a BMW’s drive for new wheels and nor do we encourage the changes to the exhaust system purely for the note.

In this case the 650i receives a four-pipe system with black chrome exhaust tips which are bound to be a lot louder than standard.

This time things are really dramatic, they’ve chosen to showcase their own alloys using the F12 BMW 6 Series and this time there’s no other tuner involved.

To further captivate viewers (or distract them from the standard bimmer) the alloy wheel specialist decided to shoot the video in Miami.

While we’ve brought up distractions. What on Earth is that… less than good looking Infiniti crossover doing showing up in the beginning?

No idea but I’m willing to let it go since the rest of the video is all about the beauty of the car and the scenery around it.

It’s a pretty interesting place to film and it often looks as if the 6 Series is improving it every time. The wheels help too.

They’re titled Vossen VVS-CV1. They’re also fitted in at 22 inches but there’s a slightly wider setup for the rear, after all, that’s where the power goes. Eventually it’s a 22×9 versus 22×10.5 arrangement.

Vossen wheels make a big deal about the way they’ve crafted these rollers and even went as far as to tell us that the lip is made from machined stainless steel and finished in Matte Silver.

There’s no denying that these wheels look good, it’s just that the video is so fascinating I’ve let myself get away thinking about the F12 BMW 650i and the Miami backdrop.

A somewhat sedate F30 3 Series Sedan is in the works, a considerably sharper F10 BMW M5 is being worked alongside it and now one of the newest models is under the knife.

It’s all sounding very exciting to see and Studie AG seem to be working tirelessly around the clock to come up with new cars/packages for them and the likes.

Their PR folk certainly know their way around the business and they will easily build up the hype on these new cars but they may be doing it a little early on.

This time there’s basically nothing to talk about in terms of body, aero tweaks or even paint schemes. This is a typical Mineral White paint finish we’re talking about.

The biggish four door coupe is now sitting on a KW V3 coilover suspension setup and can be teamed to a varying combinations of alloy wheels.

These can range between 20 and 21 inch alloys that are manufactured by Advan or AC Schnitzer and it’s very, very difficult to argue against either of which.

All I wish is that the guys over at Studie AG would get right on top of the models they’re making and actually start launching slightly more intricate tweaks.

In the meantime, we’ll just drool a little over the images they’ve currently provided.

Wouldn’t you want to know how it turned up? Where did it come from and what’s the point of tuning a BMW 6 Series of the E63 generation like this?

I would, but since that’s a little tricky, it’s easier to appreciate the way this product has turned up. German tuner CLP changed the look of the 6 Series quite substantially.

Their CLP MR 600 GT-S is available for both the coupe and convertible version of the previous generation BMW 6 Series.
They’ve chosen the E63 Coupe to showcase it.

Mainly, they’ve opted for an aero package which seems quite intriguing. Some of its lines do flow beautifully and that’s annoying.

It’s mostly annoying because the German tuner decided to use a new front bumper that’s been used in the M3 before. The E92 makes a good job of looking good and its front end feels at home in the 6 Series.

Despite this, something in there feels wrong, doesn’t it?

Thankfully, the vented side skirts, restyled new boot lid and rear skirt with integrated diffuser, are all bespoke for this package.

The final piece of this unusual jigsaw is the set of 20 inch Diamond Blue Hope alloy wheels. There’s an unusual practicality side to these rollers as they’ve got stainless steel rims.
