Almost all models and variants from BMW have been customized by AC Schnitzer and the company`s new “kid on the block” – the BMW i8 Roadster – couldn’t have gotten away with it. Below is the tuner`s new extensive program carried out on the freshly rolled out i8 Roadster, which kinda resembles with the Coupe model that they brought to Geneva, in March.

Even though the new convertible from BMW looks mind-blowing in stock form, the tuner`s full body treatment provides a more aggressive attitude, a kind of a space ship on modified four wheels as well. Every panel and every component has been customized to make it look the way it should have been in the first place.

From where I stand, the car`s first striking change is the new set of wheels. They refer to the tuner`s most prolific, the AC1 lightweight forged bi-color wheels, sizing 21 inches front and rear, providing a decrease in weight, which is around 4,4 kg.

The wheels go hand-in-hand with the new custom lowering spring kit, which brings the car closer to the ground with around 20 to 25 mm, front and rear.

As for the exterior, the car now features a carbon fiber package with plenty of stand-out elements. We are looking here are the famous AC Schnitzer front grille and 160 mm emblems on the sides, along with the new front spoiler tweaks, middle front spoiler, mirror covers, front side wings or front and rear air outlets. There is also the ‘Racing’ rear wing for more downforce or the door handle panels.

The interior also gets some new elements, which are in contrast with the exterior. There is aluminum covering the pedals, iDrive cover or the footrest, while the floor mats are velour.

As for performance under the hood, the BMW i8 Roadster by AC Schnitzer remains stock. This means a three-cylinder turbocharged engine plus an electric motor, which delivers a total of 369 horsepower. It also manages an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, meaning a 0.2 second difference compared with the i8 Coupe. The new battery also allows for an average consumption of 70 eMPG.

An example of a car that should have been left as it was is this particular BMW E36 3-Series, a vehicle that has been customized with a stunning wide body kit. This particular improvement gives the BMW a more aggressive look. The only available picture of this vehicle, however, shows the viewer something completely different. The picture captures the exact idea of compromises that are sometimes made in order to have a cool ride. For this particular example, the owner of the BMW E36 3-Series in the picture is forced to remove the rear fender of the added body kit every time he decides to stop for fuel.

As absurd as it may seem, some people are willing to accept such huge compromises in order to impress those around them with their ride. This is not necessarily something bad. If someone decides that they want to sacrifice their time for the sake of their beautiful vehicle, it’s their business. The absurdity of the matter comes from the fact that simple tasks, such as fuelling, are turned by some added upgrades into difficult to manage experiences. Is it worth it? For some it is, for some it is not. It all depends on how you see things. If you favor practicality, such upgrades are definitely not for you.

Taking a look at this particular photo of the BMW E36 3-Series reminds us that sometimes sacrifices are to be made if you want to own a really unique vehicle. While such upgrades may cause you a lot of trouble, the gained popularity might just make all that trouble worth it. There could be a chance that this particular BMW E36 3-Series owner is waiting for the right time to modify the rear fender of the body kit, so as to gain easier access to the fuel flap. We will probably never find out if this is the case.

The tuner`s latest creation is the all-new 2018 5-Series, in both the sedan and the estate variants, the model receiving an exclusive body kit and some extra power under the hood. The tuner`s fine-work is also highlighted in the video below.

As we can see in the video, the car`s look has been enhanced by carbon fiber components around the front and rear spoilers, adding as well new side skirts and rear diffuser insert.

The specialists have also created components that separate the models. The sedan for instance, is available with a special rear roof spoiler and rear spoiler, as well as a carbon racing rear wing, while the estate can also be had with a custom rear roof wing which reduces drag and increases downforce. Both variants are also fitted with AC lightweight wheels.

As for the performance under the hood, the technicians from AC Schnitzer have also added some new tweaks that increase the power. We are looking here at the tuner`s ECU remapping with sound module with remote control, which increases the power of the 540i from 340 horsepower to 400 horsepower. On the other hand, the 530d is capable of 315 horsepower, quite nice from the stock 265 horsepower. All other variants (M550i, 530i or 520d) come with similar output as the latter presented.

The newer version of the 3 Series is a bit larger, much sharper looking and features new standards for refinement and performance.

Prior Design’s new package certainly keeps the refinement levels high. The design fits in perfectly and the craftsmanship is at some seriously good rankings.

What about the all important performance, how does it stack up once the Prior Design package now goes on? Is it still a sharp greyhound or has it started napping on the rug?

As the tuning company claims, the new kit was, erm, refined with aerodynamic principles in mind. That should help with stability and giving the driver confidence to push it.

Material used for this package is a blend of both thos factors. It’s high quality Dura-Flex plastic. The quality makes for refinement and the light weight helps performance.

By how much? It’s genuinely hard to tell but we have to appreciate that both changes will be marginal. It’s not like BMW uses coarse lead to build its bumpers.

Prior Design currently offer both bumpers, side skirts and a small rear wing. They can be purchased individually and summing it all up comes in at under 2000 euros.

The new alloy wheels displayed here are not part of the package (and they’re strikingly similar to some AMG units), they’re used to help the aesthetics of the F30 as much as possible.

The brand new, still incredibly rare product can be made even harder to lose in the car park by fitting a brand new body kit from Hamann Motorsport.

Better aerodynamics is what a company with motorsport roots with normally try to sell you when it comes to stuff like this. In fairness, it’s probably true in some cases.

In this particular case I’d say it’s the need to showoff that comes on top of the positive dynamic effects. Even if the cooling is better there’s no excuse here.

Let’s get over ourselves, most tweaked BMWs hardly see a proper hot footed run, let alone some actual track action for around an hour or so.

If the engine is still standard (as this package doesn’t include performance mods for it) the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe receives sufficient air to cool itself in most conditions.

That makes all those extra vents and scoops an exercise in overkill. The carbon fiber bonnet is perhaps the tackiest example of tuning we’ve seen from Hamann so far.

The company’s Anniversary Evo Hyper Black 21 inch alloy wheels go on. They look great but as they’re the same units used on the F12 BMW 6 Series, seem to lack some effort.

A BMW interior is not something to snuff at yet the German tuner offers all sorts of upmarket materials such as Alcantara, high quality leather and wood.

Also, the floor mats are replaced and the pedals are now aluminium.

The Californian tuner is serving up a cup of Deja Vu, not only in the way they’ve gone round to coming up with this car but as well as in the way they’ve made the photo gallery afterwards.

Looking at them back to back you have to think, are they that tightly wound in their PR department or is their photographer really lacking imagination?

Thankfully, there’s plenty of imagination in the engineering department and from the guys at 3D Design. The body kit they set up here is on the Goldie Locks setting.

It comes in just about right regardless of the BMW you put it on since there’s nothing ostentatious about it. At the same time it manages to stand out and feel special.

Just like the action under the bonnet. A VT2-600 Supercharger with liquid inter-cooling system is fitted, making for a smooth ans comfy power delivery as you’d expect from a cruising BMW.

Once you floor this M3 however you’ll have around 600 horsepower to play with, which does make a difference. Akrapovic gets some of that credit thanks to their Evolution Titanium package.

When it comes to taming all those ponies you’ll be calling upon Brembo 380mm six-piston brakes at the front and four-piston ones for the back.

In between the acceleration and braking, you’ll probably rely on the KW Club Sport coilover system and the Michelin Pilot Supersport tires.

Though it’s much trickier to tweak it and not push the design into the love or hate category, Japanese studio 3D Design managed to pull off this amazing feat.

According to their own press release, the company plans to offer more packages for the F30 in the future. If that’s the case and they’re at least as good as this one, bring them on.

Technically, the 3D Design F30 3 Series makeover comprises itself of a new body kit, new alloy wheels, repainted kidney grilles and custom aluminium pedals.

The pedal box arrangement is a trademark feature for the F30 BMW 3 Series but the new exhaust tips fitted don’t really come from the same lineup.

Meanwhile, the bodykit itself is made up of a front lip, tweaked side skirts a trunk spoiler and one of the smalles roof spoilers ever.

All bits of the 3D Design kit can be fitted to any model of the F30 BMW 3 Series line but some minor modification is required before that can happen.

For some reason they seem to be considerably proud that the fog lamp bezels area easily interchangeable with the stock ones.

Maybe I missed the point here but I do like the rest of the car and I reckon it’s well worth the money. I’m only saying this because for now they haven’t announced a price but I do hope I won’t be forced to change my mind.

With these new ADV rollers we get to see an E90 BMW M3 Sedan that’s finished in white, comes with a new body kit and some contrasting black accents.

Speaking of which, these accents are to be found on the side view mirrors, the front bumper side vents and in the newly fitted wheels.

The wheels showcased here come from ADV.1’s Advance One Wheels sets. That means they come with a tweaked look as well as some refined performance.

Officially, they are designated ADV5.2TS.SL units which is probably going to be something none of us is going to remember.

What we might remember is the fact that the new wheels look more than smooth on the sharp suited business sedan of the E90 BMW M3.

Something the drivers may notice is the fact that the wheels are lighter, the un-sprung weight is reduced and that the handling is even more finely tuned than before.

The entire press release from ADV speaks of stuff like Track Spec, Super Light series but let’s not kid ourselves here, when there’s this little play in the suspension you will never risk hitting a kerb.

You might also wan to be extra careful anywhere else. Let’s be fair, this sort of car will not get to utilize its extra lightness as much as brag about it.

Even so, I reckon the F10 BMW 5 Series’ special package still seems tailored for itself rather than adapted from a different mix altogether.

I claim it to be a special styling package but the Asian company claims it to be a genuine aerodynamic package that has genuine functionality.

There’s a new front bumper, side skirt, rear bumpers with custom design and they’re all extended by an actually functional component.

A new apron, a new diffuser and a small spoiler for the trunk lid, all work together to make the 5 Series Black Bison stick to the road at high speed.

Speaking of which, the high speed we’re talking about is the same as the one the standard versions of the BMW 5 Series since there’s no added performance coming from Wald International.

All the Japanese company adds is a set of re-positioned exhausts which do little but re-arrange the sound and final position of the exhaust tips.

Final tweaks from Wald International come in the form of set of new air vents, custom alloy wheels and some newly appointed LED daytime lights.

There’s a wide variety of available alloy wheels but most of them come in with a very special multi-spoke design.

Interior details are rather limited but Black Bison offers a sport steering wheel and carbon-fiber trim together with some other custom choices.

While everything does sound like the company is actually based in China since the first name seems to be French for Studio.

Anyway, it’s not the branding that we’re so bothered about and the car, a BMW 1 Series M Coupe actually seems to be considerably important.

With the new exterior tweaks, everything about the BMW 1 Series M Coupe seems to follow in the path of its bigger brother.

It only seems natural that the BMW M3 is something to follow up to when you’re the smallest brother of the M division family.

The tuner didn’t really aim to keep up with the BMW M3 at any rate but actually wanted to target one of the high end models, particularly the M3 GTS.

At the moment we’re only looking at an exterior set of mods and an updated paint scheme. Otherwise the technical stuff is standard.

The orange paint and black details hide off a new rear wing, slightly different bumpers and upgraded spiltter and vented hood.

There’s no plan at this point to fit it with the 4.4 liter monster the GTS has but we do know from a certain Egyptian project that a V8 will fit under its bonnet.

At the moment I’m not a big fan of the Studie AG Japan BMW 1M Coupe right now but it does have the potential to get somewhere very interesting.
