American tuner Velos Designwerks have just introduced their package for the F10 BMW M5. That’s good. What’s not so good is how similar it looks to their E92 M3.

I know there’s something known as brand identity. I know that Velos probably want their products to stand out as “their products” but that’s not right.

To me, the whole point of tuning is that the car built is “mine” not theirs. It’s not BMW’s, it’s not the tuner’s and it’s definitely not the same as the neighbor’s.

There is some consolation in the fact that the recipe used on the E92, and now on the F10 BMW M5, produces a good looking machine.

Once again, the paint scheme features a white coat highlighted by a few black accents such as the front lip, the side view mirrors and the kidney grilles.

The brake calipers are still painted a rather flashy orange and the alloy wheels are similarly based around a five spoke design.

These ones are sourced from HRE. What is a bit more annoying than the similarity is the fact that Velos Designwerks still didn’t mention what tires are used.

Another lack of information approach is used on the new rear diffuser and “sports exhaust” setup that goes under the back of the M5.

You’d imagine people would be interested in details like this. It doesn’t matter anyway if your car is easy to lose in the car park.

Take Canadian tuner RestyleIT for example. We’ve hardly heard of them when they made a custom exterior wrap for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe which had some interesting interior details.

It isn’t really a fully comprehensive sort of deal since the makeover doesn’t require much of an effort to conjure up. With this new one however, things are a little different.

The car they set to start with for the project is somewhat more serious since it’s the E92 M3, the bigger brother in the BMW lineup.

What they do with the conversion, is a little less serious however. Make that a lot less serious, since they wrap it up for a color change and it’s not the most M3 associated shade out there.

The new exterior finish chosen is pink. It’s the matte variety which is said to make things cooler these days but it’s pink nevertheless. Even with some matte black accents, the mood of the car is a bit on the girly side.

Masculine insecurity is not something that can be hidden when you’re driving around in a rumbling high performance V8 powered machine painted the same shade as a 14 year old girl’s bracelet.

As if to make sure they’re aware of what they’re doing, the BMW badge gets its blue replaced by pink as well. How uncool is that?

Manhart Racing decided to upgrade their MH5-S BiTurbo even further from what they had recently unveiled as a tuning program for the F10 BMW M5.

There are a few things that have changed here and there but, as you’d expect, it’s all in the minor details and most of the car is as we’d remember.

The 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged S63Tu V8 engine pumps out the same 633 hp, 670 hp or 735 hp depending on the sort of package you opt for.

Similar gains are noticed with the torque figure and that’s reflected in the overall performance figures. The new stuff does make a difference.

There’s a lot more carbon fiber used in the Manhart Racing MH5-S BiTurbo and the German tuner tells us it’s in the places that matter.

Carboin fiber is what the front lip, the trunk spoiler, the rear diffuser and the vented hood are made of. The aero are impressively done, but the vented hood is what got my attention.

Normally they look like tosser tuning options and this one isn’t far from that look. While it’s not fitting of a BMW, an engine pushing 735 horsepower will want some extra air flow.

I wonder though would painting it have made such a big difference in the way of weight? After all, the dignified presence is an enormous of the BMW M5’s appeal. Even if its tuned as aggressively as this.

This must be the explanation for the way a new set of wheels that were specifically designed by D2Forged for the BMW M6 have turned up right now.

According to the wheel making company, this was a specific product for the E64 BMW M6’s convertible counterpart. Though that sounds unusual there’s a good amount of sense in it.

When you fit a performance car that’s already pretty stiffly damped with 21 inch alloy wheels, you are probably going to never drive it anyway other than slow.

Boulevard cruising is probably the only thing your spine can take with this setup and that seems just as well since the whole point is showing off.

The multi-spoke alloys aren’t particularly light, particularly strong, particularly easy to clean or particularly useful.

If you can appreciate the beauty of a Gloss Black paint finish with an Interlagos Blue Lip Stripe and some extra darkened lug nuts.

Though generous in image offering of their new products, D2Forged wheels aren’t willing to hand out the details of weight and costs.

What we need is something that can make your house feel cooler than it really is. How about a proper look at Kelleners Sport’s take on the F10 BMW M5.

We did get a preview of the idea an we do know what to expect, but the big question is this, did they manage to overcome our expectations?

From the look of things, the Kelleners Sport F10 BMW M5 hasn’t changed since the preview, something that’s fine by us.

The exterior look is the same but we do get to see more details of the affair this time. We can seriously appreciate the 20 inch Hamburg design alloy wheels.

We can do the same with the revised body kit which pretty much replaces the entire lower part of the F10 BMW M5’s body.

Current trend lovers will also appreciate the matte black paint covering the whole thing whereas performance aficionados will love the carbon fiber and real speed gaining tweaks.

There’s an adjustable coilover kit which replaces the standard suspension and a new exhaust system with a beefier sound.

According to the newly fitted speedometer, there’s the potential for some really high speeds as 340 km/h is where it can go up to.

Speaking of the interior of the Kelleners Sport F10 BMW M5, there’s some very lovely quilted leather covering most of it.

Built on what’s undoubtedly the vision of a single person, it’s an E90 BMW M3 that receives some tuning bits from various places in the tuning industry.

The end result is something clearly worth appreciating since it looks great and handles in the same special, distinctive way a BMW should.

Exterior changes see a set of Battleship Grey HRE alloy wheels fitted over the now painted blue brake calipers. The effect is pretty nifty and accentuated by the near slick tires wrapped around them.

In between the design and performance aspect, this E90 BMW M3 gets a series of carbon fiber components to replace the standard panels.

A new lip and set of wing mirrors is what you can immediately identify but the whole roof panel was also swapped out and a few other trickier details to prove.

No details are given out because the owner, a certain fanatic named Biglare only really cared about the peace of mind of improvement rather than hard facts.

If you think about it, it’s a brilliant way of handling things, particularly in the tuning market where often figures outweigh the details.

It is a little frustrating when it comes to the engine compartment though. This particular tuning mix M3 receives an ESS Supercharger Kit.

That’s good to know but there are two main tuning options on it, a Stage II with 530 horsepower and a Stage III with 600 horsepower and we don’t know which one is employed.
