They will have the possibility of fitting a custom exhaust system to the Bavarian Grand Tourer, one designed specifically for this car.

Once fitted the car will lose 27.1 lbs while gaining a bit more power and a throatier noise. The noise condition isn’t best for such a car but the power sounds interesting.

F12 BMW M6

The 4.4 liter V8 S63Tu engine gains another 10 horsepower and an extra 12.5 lb-ft. Granted both of these gains are noticed at some pretty considerable rpms, they’re welcome.

Noticing some extra torque at 5200 rpm might be tricky to notice but the 10 extra horses at 5.950 rpm could genuinely help.

There’s another interesting thing to happen with the new custom Akrapovic exhaust system, it will actually be unveiled during the upcoming Paris Motor Show.

F12 BMW M6

The French car show is less than a week away from kicking off and Akrapovic seem to have the plan ready by now. It seems that they will showcase one of these F12 M6 models with their exhaust system alongside some racers.

Most likely mock-ups but still good stuff is going to be there, perhaps a lot more interesting than regular manufacturer’s stands.

It all started with their handsome interpretation of the F10 M5, carried on with the F30 3 Series and now went down to the smallest member of the family.

F20 BMW 1 Series by 3D Design

The F20 BMW 1 Series got remade by 3D Design in the company’s usual presence, with all the bells whistles and some decent partners.

Considering they offer something they call a full line of exterior accessories, it’s obvious you’re not getting the standard body kit.

The aerodynamics are completely worked over and yet are just the tip of the iceberg. Obviously, the alloy wheels are coming in as the next more striking thing.

F20 BMW 1 Series by 3D Design

Unusually, they’re not telling us what dimensions are used on it. Going on with the zoom, you can appreciate the new exhaust systems on offer as well as the interior components.

That exhaust system is pretty interesting in itself, mostly for the new sound it generates out of the relatively small engines in the 1 Series.

It’s also crucial for the rather exposed back end. That’s perhaps the first controversial bit of tuning we’re yet to see from 3D Design.

Allegedly, the exhaust system was developed alongside a company called Arqray. That sounds… almost familiar somehow.

F20 BMW 1 Series by 3D Design

Either way, the interior of the 3D Design tuning F20 BMW 1 Series is where the highlights are to be appreciated in their entirety.

There aren’t any comments there and nor are there any on the company’s decision to soon offer some mods for the chassis.

There’s a lot of cars out there that are customized and end up looking and being quite interesting yet we never find out about them.

This is certainly the case with this Senner Tuning E91 BMW 3 Series Touring model. It remained in the shadows because it was never a standard package.

Senner Tuning E91 BMW 3 Series Touring

In reality, the product in question was built by request for the owner and there was no fuss made about it in terms of media coverage.

That’s not to say the model isn’t worth a second look. First of all, the car looks like one of the best interpretations of an estate you can get.

In keeping with a practical sense nearby, the owner of this BMW estate didn’t bother with the performance upgrades and focused on the sound and look of the car.

Senner Tuning E91 BMW 3 Series Touring

He decided to begin by fitting a set of chunky alloy wheels, sporty tires for extra grip and a new exhaust system for extra noise.

The wheels are five-double spoke designs blending chrome with satin black in an incredibly stylish way though that may have a lot to do with the paint of the body.

That dark blue shade, together with the dark tinted windows make for quite the effect. More importantly, the four pipe exhaust is there to make it feel like an M division product.

Senner Tuning E91 BMW 3 Series Touring

Obviously, you don’t get the same performance but if the tune is there, you can enjoy your family car when nobody’s around.

Unlike AC Schnitzer, Alpina or Brabus, Romeo Ferraris sounds great because their name is mix up between two car brands (and one character for that matter) that have written history.

For what it’s worth, the F10 BMW M5 tuning program they’ve got going on seems to prove the fact that they’re at work on raising up to their name.

They fitted the new big sporty sedan with a revised ECU and a sports exhaust system to make for a bit of a boost in power.

The 4.4 liter V8 engine now reels its twin-turbocharger setup to a maximum power output 635 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque.

Romeo Ferraris F10 BMW M5

Throw in a downpipe without pre-catalyst, a catalyst metal center with 200 cells some titanium bits, revised tips and even more chip tuning and you go to phase two of the tuning process.

At this point, the Romeo Ferraris F10 BMW M5 is capable of developing up to 657 horsepower and 582 lb-ft of torque.

We suspect that with the extra power the acceleration from 0 to 62 gets even closer to 4.0 seconds and the top speed is expected to go beyond 200 mph this time.

Romeo Ferraris F10 BMW M5

It seems that the whole of the exterior remains standard and that the interior of the BMW M5 is still in the same shape it leaves the Bavarian factory in.

That’s not really a problem but Romeo Ferraris should have probably been a little more careful with the way the cooling on the F10 BMW M5 works.

There may be a bit of an extra bit of joy about the way the F10 BMW M5 looks when you walk up to it but we all know that once you press that start button you don’t really care about it anymore.

This specific unit of the 3D Design tweaked BMW M5 is special because it gets a new Akrapovic exhaust system which makes up for the difference.

With the new setup there’s a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system which comes to some special carbon fiber tips at the end.

The owner made these choices with quite some smart thinking but he didn’t stop there. While he still had his tin foil cup on he had a few special ideas.

3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5

He replaced the standard suspension setup with some new H&R Springs, got some spacer action to keep the wheels neatly tucked in and lowered the car.

The radiator grille got itself a bit of a makeover but that’s not all. It seems that he’s got quite the plan ready for the car’s future.

That list includes a custom M intake, a reprogrammed ECU, some custom piping for the turbos and a brand new set of alloy wheels.

3D Design Akrapovic BMW M5

Oh and take a second look at that license plate number before you start praising the tasteful sort of tuning that’s going on here.

3D Design is here to the rescue. Unlike what the name would suggest they didn’t provide us with a set of renderings or anything like that.

3D Design F10 BMW M5

3D Design went on to actually sharpen up the F10 BMW M5 with a new aerodynamic kit that’s to help airflow all around and underneath the sports sedan.

The new kit features a front lip, new splitters, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a trunk spoiler which are all made out of carbon fiber.

Alongside the revised aero, 3D Design offer the F10 BMW M5 some other changes all of which are quite greatly meshed with the standard features of the car.

3D Design F10 BMW M5

For example, the stainless steel exhaust system is always something welcome on a car and though enlarged tips aren’t the best way to go, they do feel at place here.

Then they got together with Ohlins and set to work on a brand new suspension system. That’s generally a worry with an M5 BMW since there’s a good chance it might be ruined.

Hopefully that’s not the case, but we won’t find out till it’s finally sorted out and actually fitted to the car rather than a few lines in a press release.

3D Design F10 BMW M5

Until then, 3D Design distracts us with a promise for an upgraded interior that’s loaded with bits such as a new pedal set, floor mats and a gauge pod.

The BMW M5 has been with us for the best part of three decades now and Eisenmann, a tuning company, has been with us for the same time.

Over a period of 27 years the German exhaust specialist has been evolving rather nicely, just as the Bavarian super sedan has.

Eisenmann BMW M5 exhaust

To celebrate the point at which they’ve arrived, Eisenmann have unveiled a very special kind of “poo chutes” for the F10 M5, with a twist.

We all know that BMW have actually added “fake” noises to the interior because of sound deadening issues and so on but with the Eisenmann setup that’s redundant.

Just have a proper hear at how loud and still refined the engine can be once the hand built addon is fitted with the video below:

Surprisingly, the system is so advanced now that there are options you can have for it as well. You can opt for a full stainless steel construction or one that’s even more advanced.

The latter is a mix between stainless steel and Inconel, a special material in terms of thermal properties. The system is called a hybrid but that term doesn’t fit too well with the M5.

There’s other options Eisenmann offers for the new exhaust bu these are mainly for the way the muffler tips are designed.

Eisenmann BMW M5 exhaust

You can have your pick between 90 mm round tips, four 102 mm round tips or four 120x77mm oval tips. All crucial stuff if you’ve customized the sound of your car and you may be desperate for people to notice.

Overall, there’s plenty of similarities to the original Vorsteiner GTRS3 BMW M3 E92 but the owner has left his touch on it.

To begin with, he’s opted for Vorsteiner V-308 alloy wheels that do have tires on them but these aren’t actually visible.

Matte Blue Vorsteiner GTRS3 BMW M3 Widebody

Going into the details we find an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system and titanium tail pipes. A total of 53 lbs are shaved off the final weight.

Flow-optimized link pipes, 2×100 cpsi sport metal catalysts, integrated resonators and split mufflers all make for a lot more noise, less concern about emissions and added performance.

If we’re honest, just 22 horsepower and 26 lb-ft of torque aren’t very impressive when more than 400 make up the basis but the new raunchy sound is obviously difficult to ignore.

Matte Blue Vorsteiner GTRS3 BMW M3 Widebody

What a typical owner pays for the Vorsteiner GTRS3 is something we’ve been trying to find out for a while but what this one payed for the added spec and the new paint is going to remain a secret forever.

Not more kits or more bits to the original kit, just more power underneath its sinuous looking body.

Hartge BMW 6 Series Cabrio

Each of the powerplants currently available under the bonnet of the 6 Series convertible can get a new exhaust and an ECU remap from Hartge.

The exhaust system is basically the same though its adapted between to fit either the V8 or I6 exhaust manifolds. It consists of a stainless steel ensemble with new cats, silencers and mufflers.

With the ECU remap things are a little different. Starting off with the BMW 640d Cabrio, the 3.0 liter twin turbocharged inline six gets the first call.

Hartge BMW 6 Series Cabrio

Power goes up from 313 horsepower to 362. The torque figure also grows up to 538 lb-ft of torque with most of it available as low as 1800 rpm.

The 3.0 liter inline six in the 640i Cabrio gets tuned up from 320 horsepower to 384 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque.

With the top of the line 650i Hartge pumps the 4.4 liter turbocharged V8 by the biggest amount.

Starting with 407 horsepower it now produces 490 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. This version is available with either rear wheel drive or the xDrive option as well.

Hartge BMW 6 Series Cabrio

The original body kit and wheel options are still available. What isn’t available however is the pricing for any of these changes.

If you’re interested your only option is to contact Hartge themselves who’ll give you the final details on costs and availability.
