Surely, it’s not the first time when we write about a clash between Vorsteiner and the BMW i8. But it’s the first time when the result is an all black beast. And it’s one of those times when we can’t stop looking at it. Is it because of its color, or because of its body kit?

The guilty is the perfect combination between the both of them, which makes us forget about the white one. It surely excels, thanks to the striking contrast between the white body and the black elements, but the black version looks too good to be beaten!

However, the Vorsteiner kit is difficult to be spotted in this sea of black. If you find it hard to identify its elements, allow me to point them: a more prominent spoiler, bigger side skirts, a more profiled diffuser and a boot cover lip.

Of course, it doesn’t look as striking as in the white body’s case, being covered by the dark paint, but it certainly looks scarier. It transforms the BMW i8 in that kind of car you don’t want to see in your rearview mirrors, but you can’t figure out why.

Maybe the lightweight, 3 piece forged rims, made by Vorsteiner, can give you a hint about the hidden elements. One thing is clear: what can’t be seen is the material of the body kit: it’s called “Autoclaved Pre-Impregnated Carbon Fiber”, and the tuner says it’s even more advanced than the standard carbon.

The technical side remained unchanged: a marriage between the 228 hp and 320 Nm internal combustion engine and the 131 hp and 250 Nm electric motor pushes the 4×4 coupe to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
