We’re thankfull they went the extra mile since the new car they’re unveiling is based around one of the hottest and our favorite vehicle out there, the F10 BMW M5.

They’ve created an aerodynamic kit which is said to offer comprehensive improvements while still retaining a rather sedate and discrete presence the BMW brand has been associated with.

To this end we see the RevoZport package continue where the OEM body kit left off. Six new pieces have been added and they all have a few things in common.

They’re all relatively small, contributing to the non-obvious factor. They’re also made from the same material, which is carbon fiber.

This means they weigh next to nothing, so don’t distract from the crucial distrubtion of masses the F10 BMW M5 enjoys. It also makes them a tad immature but, again, diminutive sizes help.

There is something not really flattering about the RevoZport F10 BMW M5 RZ. As an aerodynamic body kit with a six piece construction, some of these aren’t the most relevant ones out there.

I would easily accept the following as part of the set: front splitter, adjustable rear diffuser, trunk lip spoiler and mirror covers.

As far as the carbon front grill and the carbon fender grills, I’m not very convinced about their potential aero gains.

It all started with their handsome interpretation of the F10 M5, carried on with the F30 3 Series and now went down to the smallest member of the family.

The F20 BMW 1 Series got remade by 3D Design in the company’s usual presence, with all the bells whistles and some decent partners.

Considering they offer something they call a full line of exterior accessories, it’s obvious you’re not getting the standard body kit.

The aerodynamics are completely worked over and yet are just the tip of the iceberg. Obviously, the alloy wheels are coming in as the next more striking thing.

Unusually, they’re not telling us what dimensions are used on it. Going on with the zoom, you can appreciate the new exhaust systems on offer as well as the interior components.

That exhaust system is pretty interesting in itself, mostly for the new sound it generates out of the relatively small engines in the 1 Series.

It’s also crucial for the rather exposed back end. That’s perhaps the first controversial bit of tuning we’re yet to see from 3D Design.

Allegedly, the exhaust system was developed alongside a company called Arqray. That sounds… almost familiar somehow.

Either way, the interior of the 3D Design tuning F20 BMW 1 Series is where the highlights are to be appreciated in their entirety.

There aren’t any comments there and nor are there any on the company’s decision to soon offer some mods for the chassis.

If you want to talk about it at length, you’ll want to focus the chatter around a single idea and that’s aerodynamics.

Alongside the more refined looks that come in pretty much guaranteed once you improve on the aerodynamics of the car.

Though BMW started the E60 design using the flaming surface ideology and even though most aerodynamic shapes are simpler than that, we’re naturally prone to appreciating flowing forms.

Fluidity is what the E60 is missing out on a few surfaces and it’s what Wald International have tried to bring back to the game.

Thanks to some clever tricks and studies, teamed with carbon fiber and other bolt on bits. Though the result is what we’d describe as “tastefully done” the changes are quite numerous.

A new front apron, carbon fiber wings, different side skirts and a special rear bumper was used here. A new carbon fiber decklid spoiler is included in the package.

You’d struggle to notice it though, the most obvious of additions made by Wald International on the E60 M5 is actually the replacement of the fog lamps with carbon inlets.

Those and the Portofino forged alloy wheel set, of course. Should we use this opportunity to remind Wald that there’s a new M5 they could have a look at?

But even then there can be some problems. They often get to a point where they mess up the styling one way or another but this preview has no problem.

Apart from it being done to a F12 BMW M6 and from having all the mods made by Lumma Design, the design is brilliant for a very important reason.

There seems to be no styling cue that is supposed to have a lot to do with what Germans think looks good. Everything on the new BMW M6 CLR is inspired by racing cars.

If I’m honest that’s not always the best idea to have on a road going car but it’s certainly better than a certain two-tone blue and yellow car.

The Lumma Design BMW M6 CLR will have a lot of wings, spiltters, flared wheel arches and other similar tweaks because the point here is to get more downforce.

Having considerably more downforce teamed with new stickier tires forges a path for some considerable performance upgrades to be fitted.

As this is still a preview we’re dealing with right now, Lumma Design isn’t ready to tell us what will be making it move about.

Even if there’s no engine tuning, the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 which develops 560 horsepower and a similar amount of torque will certainly be put to better use.

The American tuner wants us to remember the passing away of the E92 BMW M3 by unveiling a new version of the infamous sports sedan.

Their new creation is called the Vorsteiner GTRS5. It’s a full visual makeover that also includes a new exhaust system that’s made from titanium.

No updated performance figures are included so we suspect that package has been created for the sound and the weight loss rather than engine aiding.

That seems like the kind of stuff that’s fitting since Vorsteiner only really do a redesigned aerodynamics package and rather superficial tweaks.

There’s a carbon fiber widebody kit. It comes with a fully comprehensive set of bumpers, skirts and newly extended wheels arches.

Filling those new arches is a set of Vorsteiner VS-310 3-Piece concave forged aluminum wheels that have been teamed to Nitto Invo performance tires.

According to Vorsteiner, the new GTRS5 package is currently ready to order. If you’re interested however you should probably hurry up.

Only 40 of these kits will be made and if you think that on this occasion they’ve skipped on the superficial stuff, I’d like to remind you they also offer some custom embroidered floor mats.

The package itself looks fine but I am a little bored with the two-tone carbon fiber effect and perhaps a little over the E92 generation.

Another thing the newest version of the BMW M5 did is bring some attention to the older version of the M5, the raunchy naturally aspirated V10 powered E60 generation.

That was probably the last of the BMW M5 cars to come up rocking a proper, motorsports derived BMW engine. Which does bring along some other nostalgic moments.

If I weren’t a bit nostalgic for the “old car” right now I probably wouldn’t be focusing your attention back onto the Vorsteiner package for the E60.

Still, while BMW may have fallen victim to legislation as to what cars they can make, Vorsteiner remained true to their aerodynamic passion.

All the American tuner offers for the BMW M5 in E60 trim is pretty much what they offer for any car around, some carbon fiber made aero bits.

The list here includes a new front aero splitter, different diffuser, slightly bigger rear decklid spoiler and, perhaps the most significant drag reducing bit of them all, the custom floor mats.

I’m not very sure about what’s going on with the new alloy wheels Vorsteiner fitted to the E60 BMW M5 but they seem quite fitting so there’s no need to criticize them.

Finally, the Vorsteiner tweaked E60 BMW M5 also gets some other tweaks for the radiator grilles, side vents as well as a vented hood.

The new kit is called the BMW 1M Coupe GTS-V package, something pretty much typical with the tuner’s branding habits.

That’s not all that’s typical for Vorsteiner, the contents of the package seems to be the same as their other products with the GTS-V name.

Minor aerodynamic changes are spotted, some make considerable differences whereas others barely make any.

Either way, Vorsteiner uses carbon fiber on all the parts that go on the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. Even if there are some new additions, they weigh next to nothing.

With the parts that are replaced, boot lid, front lip and all the ducting that implies to cool the brakes, that’s a different story as weight is lost.

Along side the improved aero and reduced girth, the Vorsteiner BMW 1 Series M Coupe also gets a wee bit more power thanks to a new sports exhaust system.

To be precise, that’s 15 horsepower and 5 lb-ft of torque courtesy of a titanium setup. Everything is enjoyable and even this bit of the story saves some weight.

About that, guess what performance figure is aided by the brand new 19 or 20 inch BBS light alloy wheels. All of the components Vorsteiner has in store are bolt-on bits.

More importantly, because they can be fitted onto the standard bolting points, they’ll also be easily reversible and backwards compatible.

The American tuner is readying a special kit for the joy of our time, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. There’s a long way to go, which is why they’re only teasing it at the moment.

As we’ve gotten used to with Vorsteiner tuning, their main goal is the aerodynamics package and the aesthetics. Both these things should come in handy on a 1M.

To begin with, there’s a choice between 19 and 20 inch forged concave wheels. Then there’s the usual interior touches such as floor mats, leather and stitching.

Moving on we find the weight loss program really kicking into high gear as the BMW 1 Series M Coupe now gets a cat back titanium sport exhaust system.

From here on, things are getting to the heart of the problem, the new body kit bits and accessories the tuner has in store.

Just as we’ve gotten used by Vorsteiner, everything they’ve made for this new package is constructed from pre-preg carbon fiber.

The list of updates includes a front spoiler, a rear diffuser, aero fins, replacement boot lid and an integrated wing profile element.

We find a bit of the company’s signature GTS-V products in the look of these parts. That was not a complaint, just an observation.

The full unveiling of the package, hopefully displayed on a car, is set to take place at Bimmerfest 2012 in Pasadena, California on the 19th of May.

3D Design is here to the rescue. Unlike what the name would suggest they didn’t provide us with a set of renderings or anything like that.

3D Design went on to actually sharpen up the F10 BMW M5 with a new aerodynamic kit that’s to help airflow all around and underneath the sports sedan.

The new kit features a front lip, new splitters, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a trunk spoiler which are all made out of carbon fiber.

Alongside the revised aero, 3D Design offer the F10 BMW M5 some other changes all of which are quite greatly meshed with the standard features of the car.

For example, the stainless steel exhaust system is always something welcome on a car and though enlarged tips aren’t the best way to go, they do feel at place here.

Then they got together with Ohlins and set to work on a brand new suspension system. That’s generally a worry with an M5 BMW since there’s a good chance it might be ruined.

Hopefully that’s not the case, but we won’t find out till it’s finally sorted out and actually fitted to the car rather than a few lines in a press release.

Until then, 3D Design distracts us with a promise for an upgraded interior that’s loaded with bits such as a new pedal set, floor mats and a gauge pod.

It is a little bit of a handful when it comes to the drive, even though BMW fitted one of the sportiest and stiffest packages available on the market.

That’s why the German tuner came back with the S version. It’s meant to be sportier, even quicker and… red.

A revised aerodynamic body makes for less drag, without compromising the downforce. The new setup even ditches those horrid looking rear wings.

They’re more than made up for thanks to some underside engineering and a new, higher performing rear diffuser.

In order to keep you on the power better than before, G-Power have completely changed the transmission with a custom designed unit that can properly handle the added performance.

Otherwise we’re looking at the same engine as before and, unfortunately, the same interior as well.

That means there’s a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine which develops 725 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque. With that monster under the bonnet the BMW X6 M becomes even more lively.

It can now go from 0 to 62 in just 4.2 seconds and, should you feel brave enough to do this in a high riding SAV, can go over 190 mph at the top end.

Be warned though, at that point the fuel consumption is counted in fuel tanks to the mile and the emissions are well… i think actual coal is shot out the exhaust every couple of miles.
